pressingissues.com is taken by a web design company since like 1992... should be pressingissuesrecordings.com or something to that effect, lest we be sued
and actually, I prefer a .ORG, as this is not for profit, knowamean?

pressing-issues.com is available.
depends on whether you want to use the site as a repeat visit hype machine or just as a basic presence.
if you expect people to visit from word of mouth then the dash could be dangerous. If it will only appear on the records, flyers and biz cards then it's an ok risk to take.
cheers.

both, word of mouth and SWAG to get the word out... hosting will need to be able to handle at LEAST 250 gig of transfer per month, as we will want to host Label mixes, track previews, free tracks, etc on the site...
also, perhaps we could get someone who does some sick flash to do a flash and an html version... just a thought... the logo should come first, though.

what about using
http://www.fundable.org/ seems like it was built for something like this:
What is Fundable?
Fundable.org lets groups of people pool funds to make purchases or raise money. Similar to online auctions, Fundable's pages, called "group actions," are created by people who use this site. Each group action has a description of how much money needs to be collected and what it will do. Once enough pledges (not payments) have been collected, Fundable turns them into real payments and sends the total to the group action's organizer.
No one takes a risk when making a pledge: if a group action expires before reaching its total in pledges, Fundable deletes all pledges and never charges money. This lets you participate in a group purchase or fundraiser without worrying about what other people will do. No one pays until and unless everyone else makes a pledge.

you can place money in paypal and transfer it... the price in paypal transfer is the same, no matter whom you send it to or where.

yeah, it could take a lot of the adminstration hassles out of picture and leave the financing down to the important bits. also it's a transparent system. so everyone gets the peace of mind of knowing whats happening with their do$h
worth looking into
