DAW Infographics

Postby goodeh » Tue Aug 31, 2010 11:52 am

so i've been on /b/ again, and i've noticed a lot of infograph pictures, and it gave me an idea to make the same sorts of picture things for various daws and their FX and features, essentially its like a manual, that you view as an image, but i want it to be more than that, like what each individual part of the daw does to the soundwave coming out of the daw, eg, the attack knob on a compressor, or even the tempo section. since i dont have any photoshop skill or much knowledge about a lot of the daws, i was hoping i could recruit a few tech nerds and photoshopers to help me with this?

if anyones in or wants me to expand, please comment back

tl;dr - large poster-like pictures for your computer containing lots of info for your DAW like this sort of poster;

I don't understand why people bump threads, if they aren't getting any responses it's usually for a reason...

It's because you think that the first time you posted it people who may have had an interest in the issue were not on the boards at the time
And as time passes the topic fades away
So you repost it in hopes that someone who does know or care about the subject will notice it again

It's not a matter of being an obnoxious spammer in my opinion
If a subject isn't receiving attention I don't think that a bump or two is going to hurt anything after a couple days of sitting on the board, but just don't overdo it

Also, I don't read the whole entire list of topics most of the time, usually it is only the items near the top of the list that grab my attention

However, in this case I think it was a bit unnecessary to bump it on the same day it was posted

depending on how big the (for want of a better word) 'poster' is, it could feature the DAWs native devices, and what does what in each one, going into a bit of depth but just a small-ish paragraph.

i only thought about this as a way of new comers to 'gel' with the daw so countless questions wouldnt be asked on the production board, and it may provide usefull info to those looking for a particular but don't what to use to make it
