Big night although the no member list took the piss big time.

I don't get why £5 makes such a difference? Tbh, id happily pay £15 to see that line-up again...even if i was deaf!

I doesnt make a difference cause if it did i wouldnt have paid it. I did cause i knew what to expect and the night was sick. Its just a bit annoying that you go somewhere expecting to pay £10 and then get told its £15. On 4th birthday the same happened but everyone paid the members price in the end.

lol@at getting kicked in the bollocks

can someone elaborate on what happened during the fight, i was on the bottom bit in room 2 and all of a sudden everyone was being pushed back and i fell over, then the lights came on

also smh at the people vaguely throwing water into the crowd like they were aiming for a specific target

lol you would of thought that room 1 would be more likely for beef.

never heard of a fight before at dmz, no less on a bday night. those guys obviously didnt listen to anti war dub properly.

i mostly saw ppl on a good vibe but sounds like some people were on a bit of a negative one.

Seemed to be a fair few Harrow heads there, wouldn't have though it. :o

The fight was about those/the twat who was skulking round the dance stealing people chains/wallets etc. Someone bust him when he tried it supposedly. Good, the tnuc shouldv'e been proper stamped down. Almost ripped my mates head off trying to skank his chain.

Absolutely wicked party! Best atmosphere I've felt at a party since a long time, big up to DMZ crew, dj's and everyone involved and sharin the love! <3
Had a good Oi! (Amsterdam) the night before with Hatcha and Kutz, only running into them at DMZ again. Oi! was sold out, with a great enthousiastic crowd only too much moshpit energy (but hey, that's the Dutchcrowd  ) so no chance to 'meditate'. I felt the energy with most people at DMZ was like-minded and therefore I really enjoyed myself, whether just feelin the music or the positive vibes from people around me. It was well worth it to come over for from the Netherlands, thanks so much steppahs!
Fortunately I didn't run into the earlier mentioned nutters, but did catch Mala standing on the decks (ready to stage dive? hehe)... massive :D

This Coki tune needs to be played again soon, because the way it sounds on tape is definitely not the way I recall hearing it, glad I found some footage though:

Any more footage or pictures?

I'm impressed at the overwhelming support and good times people had. Unfortunately I felt let down by a few things:
2 hour queue. I was expecting it so no surprises, but in terms of setting the tone for the night... Then another big queue for the cloakroom.
No members list, as above - not the end of the world, if it really meant that much I wouldn't have gone in, but by the time I got inside the club the start wasn't great.

Main complaint was the vibe inside. I'm glad so many people had a great time, it makes me feel like I'm just a moany old git. Personally it was too rammed for my liking - I don't come to read a paper, but I don't come to spend my night fending off drugged up kids from spilling my/their drink all over me. It wasn't just the centre of the dancefloor - anytime I tried to get to the bar, toilets, smoking area etc, it was a real struggle.

Attitude in the dance - again i'm pleased so many people say they never saw anything. I caught Pokes shouting at the guy trying to snatch chains in the main room. Went into the second room and there was a minor scuffle, which was followed by the DJ (not sure who) playing Next Hype. Now I don't mind the song, but if there's just been a row on the dancefloor it seems mad to me to then play a hype tune like that...

Then it kicked off properly in the second room. Lights on, music off business. I was on the balcony and turned away in disgust, and found that the crowd was now 3 deep with people trying to watch the drama. I sat down, and I could just hear the crowd going 'ooh' and 'aah' like it was a bloody circus or smth. Someone made the comment that everyone was booing them - that wasn't my impression at all, people seemed entertained.

On top of that I was disappointed with some of the sets, but that is simply a personal preference. Would've liked more meditation, longer mixes, varied selection. Anyways Im glad everyone else seems to have had a great time. Perhaps I'm a rose tinted, backwards-looking nostalgic, but vibe seeemed a long way from earlier DMZs. Im just a bit sad that following the queue, the crowd, the drugs, the cost, the music and the fighting, I'm not sure I'll be back in a hurry. Then again, given how busy it was I won't be missed!!

I couldn't have said it better, seebs2000!

Too crowded to meditate, frustration instead of the good vibe i was expecting.

But still a sick night!
Next time presale and less people, and it'll be the best ever.
