I heard Geiom drop T2 - Heartbroken in a set the other day and it worked a treat. Are any other dubstep DJ's using the odd Niche / Bassline tune in their sets? I can picture it working really well especially with the more techy / housey / deep end of things, and it might keep the "where's the swing? / where's the sexiness?" people happy for a bit... but I don't get out enough to know if anyone else is on it.

That links not working for me I'm afraid.
It's a mission to find some bassline mixes on the net, and I'm getting bored of the (excellent) Niche Vol1, please try to get your mix onboard.

'Niche' ?!
Is that some sort of pigeon hole? Niche? Isn't that what a genre of music is? 'a niche'?
What kind of music do you mean by 'Niche'? Sorry, enlighten me...
And isn't that T2 thing in the top 40 right now?

Used to be called speed garage, then bassline, now 'Niche', after a club in Sheffield (I'm sure someone will correct me on one or more details here, but as far as I'm concerned it's all garage really

)
T2 was top 10 at one point I think!

Would be great if there were more Aktionist influences in dubstep.
Now that's what I call disgusting music.

Tell us what you call it...
Speed Garage. Don't care about speed Garage.
I build it in the Sheffield, Not in the Garage.
Who told you that I made speed garage.
The North has got its own sound , it's Niche garage.

Garage, you don't know about garage,
We smear dwarves with shit and cabbage.
And don't try and tell me about your mp3 sales,
We roll deep in baby's entrails.
