New York City has been so lucky as to have a deep, bassy, atmospheric dubstep night for the past 5 years. The third Friday of almost every month has been DubWar!
Man, I remember my first DubWar...
I walk in and Dave Q was playing his set, the walls, the floor, the ceiling all just vibrating with bass, the people vibeing... the atmosphere, like nothing else. JoeNice comes on and RIPS the damn thing in half, sets the place on fire... at that point I knew, as Juakali was saying, that "I wouldn't wanna be anywhere else but DubWar!"
Every third Friday, I've marked my calendar, told all my friends, most of whom had no idea what dubstep even was. Every single one of them had fallen in love with the vibe and the ambiance of the sound.
The past few months we've been missing DubWar... DubWar -- where are you?
Its been 4 months and there's no sight of its return (after the break for the summer). The party we've fallen in love with seems to have disappeared...
I'm sure there're more of you out there who miss DubWar every month. Post what you think and let's get the crew back to NYC!!!
DubWar, we miss you.

My friend introduced me to dub war this past April and I've been going to everyone since. I had such an epic time each and every time. Those guys never disappoint.
Bass pumpin', beats droppin', all round filth. I've been keeping a look out on twitter and on the myspace, but no updates.
Let's give em some encouragement... Dave, Juakali, Incyde, Joe if you're listening hurry up and get back to NYC!

I miss dubwar very much.
It was always so consistently awesome. huge talent each and every month. And when you saw someone unfamiliar on the lineup, like shortstuff, it was a safe bet they would be awesome (and shortstuff was).
Joni mitchell never lies, you don't know what you got till its gone.
I can only imagine that it was a great amount of effort to pull off and for that I'm thankful for the great times I DID have.

they're just looking for a new location is my understanding. you know they'll be back and stronger than ever.
hey, you wouldn't hire a clown to fix a leak in the john..so why do you let these hooligans tear down the biz?

The first one I went to was the last one that went on with Mala and Skream and to be honest it was the greatest experience I've ever had at a club. I was 100% on making the journey every month going foward but who knew it was gonna take a break for this long...
We Miss You DUBWAR!
