Re: DSF gettin' twitter hate
it seems pretty natural to me that big producers would have a bit of animosity towards a forum like this. obviously they get a ton of praise here, but it's kinda human nature to notice and remember insults more than compliments, and most producers have been bashed at one time or another on here. plu...

Re: story of brostep
Music is relative, people connect to it or they don't. Your personal taste in music is no better than anyone elses, if it was it wouldn't be called personal taste it's an experience relative to you that you will share with others who have similar tastes. There is no winning or losing though, or bet...

Re: Zeds Dead
i dont think it should matter when or how you got into it. but thats probably cause i did discover it through youtube. it was more like 2 years ago tho. its not like they have dubstep in arkansas. how else would i have heard of it? oh, I didn't mean to imply that there's anything wrong with discove...

Re: story of brostep
Another thing that I think is overlooked yet astoundingly obvious is the fact that each producer has different goals when creating their music. My impression is that a lot of people that follow this music seem to assume that each producer is trying to create the perfect, definitive dubstep song. Ob...

Re: Zeds Dead
I fucking love pretty much all of Dubstep. The rollers, the minimal, the tearout - I personally find the music so sonically pleasing no matter what format it ends in usually cos there is one underlining factor which has me bouncing... The SUB! exactly!! it seems like a lot of people are so quick to...

Haven't been on this forum for too long. But it feels like some of you guys just hate on certain dubstep songs because a lot of people like it. Is this some sort of indie mainstream hating forum or am I mistaken? seems to be the way of it with many folks around here. but i'm sure some of them will ...

Still trying to find out the name of the song that is playing immediately when the video starts, and the one that is playing about 5 minutes in, after Phaeleh and before Ellie Goulding. If anybody knows, I would really appreciate it 8) first one is this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oWH7kTj0l0I n...

Re: The Differnce Between...
There is no difference, at all. Tall/long/short/high/nice/good/bad/awful are all, in their very essence, subjective and relative terms and should be treated as such. People using these terms, unless they have problems with theory of mind (which not many people do), are well aware of that and are st...

The Differnce Between...
Saying "I don't like this producer/tune" and saying "This producer/tune is shit/untalented/a sell out/disposable/etc." I feel like a lot of the arguments that go on here stem from some folks failure to distinguish between their personal opinions and facts. While it might be just ...

Re: learning to dj on a xone dx
if you are planning to use Ableton for DJing, i don't imagine the DX would really be the best controller - it's designed more for traditional 2/4 deck DJing, with software like Itch (which it comes with), Traktor, etc. I would imagine you would be better served by an APC 40 and a nice soundcard. als...

@Mapledelux - thanks!!
@fractal - I couldn't agree more, was being cheeky. Though my post count might not indicate it, rest assured I fall squarely into the category of people who spend waaaaay to much time on DSF
