Re: WIPs/unfinished tunes for feedback * no finished tunes *

Specimen-yarp, Love the bouncy feel of it. The Hi hats fit it perfectly. I didnt feel like the sub was making it through the mix very well. the kick sounds like its interfering with the bass, did you sidechain it? The synth arpeggio that plays throuout the whole song might need to be turned down a t...

oprs, I like the the intro synths and sampled. I feel like the track is missing something after the synths go away... not sure what really. Once it drops Im not sure its really my type of track. mixing sounds good though :)

Re: Free logos

I would love a free logo if you have the time!

Cycle-Ogic is the name. For colors, I dont really have any specific but I would like it dark and metallic. something edgy or machine-like.

Thanks a bunch!

Re: Best headphones for producing, not DJing?

I have Sennheiser HD280Pros. They arent really optimal for producing cause theyre closed-back but I liked that because I do a little bit of DJ'ing too.

I LOVE THESE HEADPHONES!

JLproductions, Gotta say I like the idea. I feel the snare doesnt really have enough punch/presence. I feel it could use some additional background elements later in the song. and the song in your sig is friggin awesome! Any chances of a 320 in the future?

Re: WIPs/unfinished tunes for feedback * no finished tunes *

jrisreal, The piano could probably use a boost in the higher register, unless you were going for a vintage/analogue sound. then I would suggest a subtle vinyl sound behind it. The bass isnt really my cup-o-tea so I cant really tell you much there. Ascent, Love the intro. The deep sub fits the track ...

Re: WIPs/unfinished tunes for feedback * no finished tunes *

Bassdnb, Deffo got my head noddin'! I like the drums and arps together. I like the flow and layout but I cant help but want to hear a fat, low sub wobble like old school dubstep. I say try putting one in and see how it sounds ;) Thrilla, It definitely sounds well-mixed. Not really my cup-o-tea style...

Re: WIPs/unfinished tunes for feedback * no finished tunes *

Sonic Arts, Its really isnt that dubby. I think it needs a more prominent bassline with some kindof melody then it would get my head bobbin' a bit more ;) jrisreal, I think the arpeggio in the intro should have some deep lowpass filter sweeps and something else I cant quite figure out to give it mor...

Anyone commonly use Guitar Pedals?

So I've been wondering lately, How much use would a good collection of guitar fx pedals be in making dubstep? does anyone currently use them in their studio?

Should I buy this mixer?

So I was looking around for some cheap gear on eBay and saw this mixer: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=260811891244&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT . Looks like a cool piece of vintage gear to have. I would see myself taking it apart and restoring it. Whats your thoughts? I thin...
