Re: Why is FL studio looked down upon?
In my experience, Steinberg's customer service was WAY worse than Imageline's. ^ Yeah I can agree with that as well, including the Steinberg support. Steinberg customer service and Retarded policies on dongles etc are why I was determined to move away from them. Companies that punish their paying c...

Re: Why is FL studio looked down upon?
Far as I can tell FL studio suffers from the fact that anyone who wants to have their first go at making a tune downloads it cuz they are under the impression it will be easier to use than all the others (probs from the old name). They then proceed to poast all their cruddy efforts on you tube and F...

Re: Is this really the easiest way to automate LFO in Massive?
Is it really not possible to automate the ratio in Ableton ? I manage it dead easy in reaper, I'm almost curious enough to DL a demo just t see if I can

Re: Detecting tune key
Hmm, you seem to be misunderstanding what I am saying and pretty keen to have an argument about it. To be fair I had just finished a hellish night shift and was not expressing myself well. I've no intention of shitting all over the OP's thread so I think I'll pass on further comment

Re: Detecting tune key
i think some of you are SERIOUSLY over-complicating things... ...its not rocket science, there are ONLY 12 possible keys in the western system ...based purely on the combination of accidentals used (sharps/flats - or "the black keys" for those of you with no musical training), it can ONLY...

Re: Detecting tune key
Learn intervals learn what a 5th a 4th a 6th a 7th sounds like This really, as it will help you listen to the resolution of the melody (the bit where it leads back to the root note) and that will give you your key when it's not as simple as taking the first note of the melody. 5ths, 7ths, 4ths and ...

Re: Is this really the easiest way to automate LFO in Massive?
or just copy the plug and change the synced rate up to you No need for that, just automate the ratio number instead of the rate when in synced mode, should be smth like "MODULATOR 5 NUM" - the 5 being the number of the LFO or Performance in massive. It's doable in reaper using "last ...

Been an active member of many and varied forums over the years, from a political debate forum to a heavy metal forum, even the Eve online forum. The one constant in them all is the amount of *shitpoasting* that needs keeping in check. You guys are doing a pretty good job of that here despite the lac...

Re: gain structure and mixing aka THE MONEYSHOT THREAD
Here's a thing, when sorting out the gains on my drums, starting with the kick and snare, I noticed that the snare needs considerably more db to sit in the mix than the kick, I think around 6 db which seems alot. For some reason I am assuming they should be closer than that altho my ears are telling...

Re: Making disparate bass parts sit together
He he not making myself clear as usual, I mean that there are 4 different massive variations that I SWITCH between not play together LOL I get ya now, can't say i've ever really had that problem as such, just make sure they are all eq'd into a similar space in the mix?? Yeah they are getting there,...

Making disparate bass parts sit together
ok so I have say 4 or so bass sounds I am tyeing together into a single bassline, but thru all the weird ass tweaking I've done to them (all in massive BTW) they have come out hitting pretty disparate frequency ranges and I need them to sit together. I just went thru the gain structure thread and se...

Re:
what a f'ing waste of time. why even use this for wobbles if you cant automate the lfo sync? doing bounce tracks or automating the sync manually seems really useless especially if youre in early stages of production Instead of trying to automate the rate ... AUTOMATE THE SYNCED RATIO, that's what I...

Re: NI Massive Tutorial - Hendrix meets the Monkey
Cool man here's the KSD file aswell: http://www.mediafire.com/?fdzy5bo2dpmnulb hehe I may need that as mine came out a bit different, slight variations seem to cause big sound changes, but that's great cuz I came up with about 4 different sounds I like and 1 that is madder than a box of frogs. I ca...

Re: NI Massive Tutorial - Carving oscillators out of white noise
Could be 1 of 2 things. Either the LFO range in green is not ranged out on the comb's damp parameter or the little "-" underneath the mod box has not been changed to an up or down arrow (I can't remember which direction , one sounds crap the other sounds sick) and the SC highlighted. TY I...
