Re: WIPs/unfinished tunes for feedback * no finished tunes *
BudSpencertron I really like the first WIP. Very deep I love what you've done with the vocals. The percussions are really crisp but I would like the 3rd beat snare to stand out more compared to the other clap things. The second WIP is even cooler actually! Very unique style and I love what you've d...

Re: WIPs/unfinished tunes for feedback * no finished tunes *
RightOnTime27 : Really nice intro! The drop is cool but I think you should keep the riff from the intro actually and maybe change it in the second drop instead. If not at least add something more in the second drop even though the switch up at 1:59 sits very good. Nice percussions but I would like ...

Re: WIPs/unfinished tunes for feedback * no finished tunes *
mthrfnk : I really like this. Nice beats and beautiful soundscapes. Very crisp production overall. The pad and the marimba is perfect. I need to check out your other stuff as well. Flippity : Not sure on the slow-starting intro but the effects are cool. Heavy drop anyway but I would like more hi-en...

Re: WIPs/unfinished tunes for feedback * no finished tunes *
darkdubz : Wow, big tune! Super tight production. Great bass, percussions and effects. No complaints and will be very interesting to see where this goes. 1stfiest : Nice style. I really like the synth that hits between the wobbles. Very dark and robotic and really cool when it goes parallell with t...

"Tvångströja" is the original title (straitjacket in Swedish). Big EP nevertheless!murky21 wrote:whats with the OP's flip side description?! its 4.42 oz saaaan!

Re: Tune IDs (Whats the name of that tune that....)
Hi all, Been a lurker here for a bit, was hoping you could help me with a Tune ID. I managed to record a bit of this and upped it to YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ICpdj7zQ74M Nobody knows this one? It really went off when he dropped it, I figured it would be pretty well known. http://www....

Chase & Status - Eastern Jam (Ondubground remix)
Really nice, especially the second part. If I'm reading the comments correctly (using a translator) it won't be released though which is a shame as I definitely want this one. Hopefully they will put it up as a freebie!

Yeah, you are right. Totally different kind of music. Point is I like them both a lot but more into the Skrillex sound right now.wizard_music wrote:they're completely different artists, you just can't compare them.

Re: Chiptune/8bit
Two basic tips: 1. Put a fast vibrato on a square/saw with full filter on for a standard lead. 2. Put out a chord with one note playing at a time running once or twice or a couple of times. For example C E G C (last C one octave up) or C E G C E G C E etc etc. Then you shrink them together so they a...

Re: WORKS-IN-PROGRESS for DECEMBER, 2010
Cubicle : Nice intro and sample but I really think you should remove the panned delay on it. Heavy bass! Sounds well mixed with the kick from what I can tell. Good job. Not keen on the piano and strings however, they seem pretty random and a little out of tune with eachother and the bass. Like play...

I'm not. Most of us here are nowhere as good as the real brostep producers. I don't think the entries were that bad however.Tama Wits wrote:was quite surprised

Re: WORKS-IN-PROGRESS for DECEMBER, 2010
Voodeedoo : Very nice synth and melody. Nice trip-hoppy beat and makes it sound like Boards of Canada actually! Beat is really thick and good and the panned synths fits perfectly. Not sure what your thoughts are, if you're planning on maxing it out or anything but so far so good! LukeRaith : I real...

Re: WORKS-IN-PROGRESS for DECEMBER, 2010
Debaser1 : Lovely chords. Feels a bit like deadmau5. Not sure what you've done with the first kick but it's really loud and almost blew my speaker (the very first kick hit at 0:31 that is, rest is fine). Nice hihats and claps although I would bring down the levels of the hats that are panned to the...

downloading the first 3 now :D i <3 discovering brilliant new music. these basslines just have so much... soul? i don't know how to describe it. i've never explored ambient stuff, sort of thought it was goofy, but this is incredible. Re: WORKS-IN-PROGRESS for DECEMBER, 2010
ogunslinger : The bells in the intro makes the drop really heavy. Bass and wobble is good but I would like to bring out the kick a bit more, not too much though as I feel this is a track where the bass should do most of the punch. Overall good mix and all the sounds (bass, the acid thing, percussio...

Re: next level (aka wack) soundcloud promotion strategies.
I agree. Although the waveform is cool indeed (+ nicely programmed/constructed and not Flash as you could think!) it makes people skip ahead directly to the drop. Also it makes people anticipate stuff etc. No surprises.3za wrote:deadly habit wrote:I wish the waveform view could be hidden, it can ruin listening to tracks imo.

Re: deadmau5
If we are to discuss the production we at least need a proper rip to listen to. The one in OP is obviously messed up.
