I recently released a Liquid Dnb EP; One of the tunes was played by Fred V & Grafix on their BBC1XTRA takeover and another has been uploaded by Liquicity. Not huge news but I'm proud :D

In Fl Studio 10 all you have to do is right click on the parameter and choose "create automation clip" for native controls on the mixer or Imagine Line VSTs or use "last parameter tweaked" option from one of the top menus (forget which, just instinct at this point) for non-nativ...

Well if you want to keep your bass strong and bassy, then you have to cut some lows out of your percussion otherwise they will clash. Otherwise have you tried sidechaining? You could sidechain the bass to the percussion but leave the sub untouched? It may sound horrid I don't know,but you never know...

For more energy I would suggest looking more at your drums, but that's just me. I find if you're happy with the track as it is but feel it lacks energy, maybe your drums lack some vital percussion, or are quite reptitive? Or you could try switching things up, reversing elements here and there to giv...

Wrote my own, only started doing remixes recently. The way i see it, I wanted to be 100% confident in what I was doing before I messed around with other artists work... i didnt wanna muck anything up. Be like, not knowing how to mix a spectrum, but trying to put your own touch on the Mona lisa. QFT...
