Re: Scuba - Cognitive Dissonance

sounds a bit slower than 170? anyways yeah it's a beaut Chemical Records lists it at 85 BPM (170/2), I think it's the drum patterns that make it feel slower. Easily the best tune off that album. Reminds of that Autonomic sound dBridge & Instra:mental were pushing. ^ THIS. Shame what happened wi...

I meant I was surprised to hear a random tune like a 16 Bit remix of a Noisia tune in a trailer for a huge summer blockbuster film like TF3. That's some huge exposure for them.

Noisia - Machine Gun (16 Bit Remix) in TF3 trailer.

I was pretty surprised to hear 16 Bit's Remix of Machine Gun by Noisia in the new trailer for Transformers: Dark of The Moon.

I just discovered this album today and it's incredible. Easily the best LP I've heard since Broadcast by Hyetal.

Re: Hyetal - Broadcast LP [Black Acre]

I hadn't even heard of Hyetal until recently when I saw that Boddika had done a remix of Diamond Islands, so I decided to check out the original version of the song and was completely floored by how great it is. Bought the LP and it's fantastic. I will definitely be keeping a close eye on Hyetal.

Re: Hyetal - Broadcast (debut LP)

Just heard Diamond Islands for the first time today, I hadn't heard of Hyetal before and was caught totally off-guard by how amazing the tune is. I'm definitely going to get the album based on the strength of that tune alone.

Re: 'Stargazer' Our first 170bpm Autonomic track...

Really nice, deep sounds. My only criticism is that, for me, the tune really gets going at 1:30. I think the intro could be shortened, but other than that I'd say it's great.

Haujobb - Ninetynine

I was listening to this album today and realized how ahead of its time it was, and how fell it fits in with a lot of the Bass music I'm listening to these days. For those who don't know, Haujobb was an Electro-Indsutrial group that had some popular releases in the '90s. In 1999 they released Ninetyn...

Re: Skrillex' broken laptop.

This is every producers nightmare. It's unfortunate that he didn't have his material backed up, but it's not difficult to imagine how something like that could happen with his tour schedule.

Re: Skrillex - Get Up (Full)

I have to agree. Dubstep's been around for nearly a decade now and there still aren't any subgenres? Christ, by the time D&B had hit the 10 year mark there were easily a dozen subgenres that came with it. People complained about the subgenre names but it if meant that the people who were into Li...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t8WKUurBz2I doesn't get any more hardcore than this. all the dentist drills and cheap gameboy yoy sounds in the world will never be as hard-hitting and frightening as this tune. if you don't like it it's probably because you're too much of a pussy and should listen to...

Re: A disturbing and unfortunate trend

I think there are two sides to any underground genre rising in popularity. When it happens there will always be producers who push it in an extreme direction, and there will be a lot of copycat artists who try to imitate the sounds and bandwagon jumpers who don't know the roots and history of the ge...
