I agree melodyne is where its at! It's an amzing plug in, I've been having lotsa fun w/ it. Its so easy . Formant shifting is sweet In Ableton Live this is pretty easily achieved. Record or obtain vocal sample, slice to midi, rearrange slices into a melody, automate pitch shift, also some kinda auto...

Here's the latest track I've finished. It's not dub-step. More like electro but I used many of my dubstep sounds to make it!

Its really easy actually. I use Ableton and Massive. When your in arrangement view and have Massive open on a track the last paremeter (knob, slider, etc.) you touch in Massive will update as the new automation envelope on the track. It's the quickest way I've found.
