Re: Farz - Unlucid (Bass music)

snare needs to be replaced. its a granular electronic snare with tribal drums and just doesnt work. love the bongo sample. compliments the vocal nicely. has a deep jungly vibe and mixdown is pretty close to listenable. keep at it

Re: Guerr1lla - Sicilian Message (DUBSTEP? BROSTEP?)

kick is solid. snare needs to be louder and brighter in the mix. phrasing and the arp sounds are awesome. proper build up and drop. bass sounds just need more character, layers and variation within the stereo field. try some stereoizer plug ins. they work wonders for placing things in a mix

Re: Mortiflux - Droid (Drumstep/Robostep)

youve got the progression of a track down and the phrasing of your bassline is pretty good. more time needs to be taken with each individual sound. they all sound a little thin. layer your sounds into frequency bands and use different fx on each. use an eq on each track as well as everything sounds ...

Re: Atela ft Silva Dan - Some Sort of Sound (deep/chilled)

listening on krk 8s and the 10s sub and when you turn it up loud it sounds bangin to me man. great stereo image use of reverb and use of the sound stage. love the perc patterns. only gripe would be switching up the sub bass pattern with some pitched dives and variation etc. nice werk ;)

But as far as minimalistic old...

Re: Is this honestly considered brostep?

yeah fair enough. i guess im still confused about the term. i thought it was characterized by high pitched basslines. i feel like there isnt a thin line one way or the other. whats one persons brostep is another persons dub.

Re: Where do you like your sound to sit?

maxing out my credit card to buy monitors was the best stupid thing i ever did. cant stress it enough. ive found time and time again if your mixdown doesnt pop off the speakers and kick ass!!! mastering wont do shit. now a proper mixdown and a good master job will make the song loud as fuck and crys...

Re: Skrillex Hey Sexy Lady Remix High Pitched Synth
