Re: Aquatica - Iconic
Mate to be fair, im really liking those melodies and combos of synths and LFOs, however as you guessed the mix could do with sorting out. Drums - They could do with cutting through the mix a lot more, with a tune like this they need to slap you in the face, try layering multiple drums sample under o...

Re: DSF-based record label?
Well i'm glad there are at least some people showing interest in the idea... I already have a digi label selling music on all the usual online retailers so i think it would be fairly easy to get another on there through the same distributor. Now i know having releases on Beatport isn't the be-all an...

Re: DSF-based record label?
i would love to get a song released. but ive always wondered, all these small time dubsteppers, about how much money do they make off their tunes? does a song have to sell so much copies to stay on beatport or somethin like that? if royalties are 50/50 and the song sold for 1 dollar. does the label...

Re: DSF-based record label?
Cool, well thanks for the heads up boss, i'll have to wait and see if there are any takers.... I should make it clear to anyone reading this thread that I am not looking to make money off anyone and I would imagine that any money would be shared out between people who contributed to the release, i.e...

Re: DSF-based record label?
Oh really? I googled and searched beatport and couldnt find anything? is it not under the dsf name? Fair enough.... Well like i said it wouldn't necessarily have to have anything to do with DSF only run by the users.
Your sig track is narsty btw

DSF-based record label?
After knocking about on this forum, slinging a few posts in here and there for a few months i've noticed..... Theres actually a fair bit of talent on this forum ;-) There are also a lot of up and coming artists on here who are trying to be heard, either through track releases or promotion.... As man...

Just listened to the some of the other tracks on your soundcloud... You cover a few different styles, and you do them all pretty well... Fair play

Re: Stealth Elf - Evolution (Dubstep/Garage)
Intro- nice atmosphere maybe some subtle hats for the DJs? Drums are niiice, love those squelchy/crackly samples, nice stereo movement Electric keys are also nice as are the subs (wasnt going to bother plugging the monitors in but was enjoying the tune :)..... Very nice, not what i would usually lis...

Re: My Last Attempt to Connect with this Form -- C-zar vs.
I dont understand how the first track can actually be pretty good (which i think could fall into dubstep/grime category) then when you try to make Dubstep you fail so hard.

Re: Ponch - Mechanized Complex
Drums are sounding good and i like the synths in the intro... The drop.... There isnt much in the way of subs so it lacks impact at the moment, try layering some sine waves under the lead bass parts. The bass sounds themselves have some interesting modulation. You could also try adding some transiti...

Re: List Of Members Collaboration // Collabs Thread
TECBLOC What DAW do you use? Logic Pro How long have you been producing for? Started about 6 years ago, although didnt look at my sequencer for almost 2 years, but been on it hard again for the last year What VSTs do you favour? Massive, then most other synths are sampler patches, created by resampl...

Re: Giana Factory - Rainbow Girl (Kane Remix)
I'm liking the atmosphere created in the intro.... Drums are cool, although maybe a little more top end on the snare to make it snap a bit more?..... Nice subs...... I feel like there is maybe a bit too much stereo goin on with the mid-range bass, it sounds like its almost panned hard right at times...

Re: Locustlung (Rhek) - Take me home (Vocal, Liquid)
nice track man, where did u get the vox from? Really like the drums in this, good selection of hits, especially that snare/sidestick. Mix seems nice and polished although i'm only listening on iMac speakers atm so can't comment really.

Yea reminds of the dude from Linkin Park. I'm only listening on iMac speakers so cant comment that much on the mix but sound pretty good to me. Yea i like the track wish i could hear the subs . Some nice modulation on those basses/synths. Thumbs up
