Re: Sweet tearing synth lead solos in dubstep?
Yaeah 1:50 thats a real nice example goodeh! But i could definitely dig far longer solos also. Really nice atticuh! castlevania right? The rock/blues -ish ending bit is awesome too! How much of that is directly your keyboard playing vs how much is edited/quantized? Anyone wanna jam? Like exchanging ...

Sweet tearing synth lead solos in dubstep?
Do you do them? Know of any track that has any? I specifically mean kinda long solos with a improvised, jam-ish feel to them. I Just love to fire up a nice analogesque synth lead, set up some nice portamento and improvise over a sick bassline. Can easily waste over an hour on it. And I find that it ...

Can we have running thread for heads-up about plug-in sales? This store seems to have a hefty price reduction on all of their plugins [removed because of scam risk] Myself im quite tempted to buy Albino 3 for $44 But my biggest question is... how legit can one expect sales of this kind to be? Anyone...

Re: WIPs/unfinished tunes for feedback * no finished tunes *
@burgeamon agreeing with mixe3y about the vocals being a bit quiet, just at the rap part though, and like he said the bassline is bit boring but thats okay since you can just make it less prominent and bring out Intelligibleness and clarity on the rap instead, wich is the main thing here right? Als...

HIHAT GROOVES SECONDED!!! the natural opening/closing sound is something i really miss when just pasting together oneshots of hihats. Perfect for me would be a big set of of short(1/2 - 2 bars) bare hihat grooves with minimally processed sound. Oh! and f you could get some soft felt head mallets and...

Re: Mixing Dubstep with Pop
That's a REALLY good example of what I'm trying to do, but picture dubstep underneath the vocals, and not dubstep on it's own as a seperate section, but on the chorus. Thanks for showing me that! cheers mate! Although i think your bit wrong if you dont think that chorus is dubstep. I mean its got s...

Re: Mixing Dubstep with Pop
I think that "I need you" by TMS and jagga is a perfect example of a dubsep song working more like a standard pop song, i.e it has a chorus/verse structure with a more drop-ish part acting as a bridge. And i mean that in a good way since i absolutely dig this tune. http://www.youtube.com/w...

Re: WIPs/unfinished tunes for feedback * no finished tunes *
@ deconstruct love the slightly detuned mallet-ish arpeggio right before the drop, would love to hear it return somewhere after the drop. definitely not too much percussion, great dynamics and placement on 'em. @perileyes way too much sidechaingin in the early intro. Nice variation in sections with...

@jrisreal good point, thanks! I liked your just synthing around. Nice rytmic energy in the modulations. do you mean that its never gonna be a complete track :( @Glue reed I like the moody piano. and the sliding movement in the sub that seems to follow the piano in some bars. Here's a wierd thing i w...
