Re: The Reese Bass Thread
Sorry for shameless self promotion but i did a tutorial recently and thought it might help out a lot of you guys. I go over three different tips you can do to reese. Pretty simple stuff going on, with the usual resampling and what not. Its a lengthy video but its worth it :W:, also the project file...

Re: The Reese Bass Thread
^You had someone ask about them, which is better than what most people get. Let's be honest, people post up the sounds they make, and when others hear something they don't know how to achieve, they ask. If they think they can achieve the same thing/just thinks it's nothing much, they don't ask. I d...

Re: The Reese Bass Thread
Do any of you guys even put your reese's into songs or anything? Sorry ive been gone for awhile but imo the last couple threads honestly have been fart nosies. I like the attempts but everyones just posting random bass's to "out do" each other and the very few post are good tutorials on q...

Re: That amazing robot growl from Skrillex and Virtual Riot.
I've gotten very close to these sounds using Modern talking + scream filter. I'm not gonna give away the patch because I think you should try and figure it out for yourself. Just Play around with envelopes and the dimension expander. try to modulate as many things as you can.

Re: The Official Growl Bass Thread
Glitch Hop remix of Limp Bizkit's song 'Take A Look Around' that Meyer Rogers and I put together for a school project. I guess you'd call the main bass a growl. Theres also some reeses in there. If anyone wants the logic session i'd be willing to give it away. https://soundcloud.com/fowles/limp-bizk...

Re: Interesting talking bass "phrases". Made any?
Not my own growl, But noisia's talking reese in this track has always amazed me. I would love to produce something like this one day. http://youtu.be/iXORANqF1XI mainly from like 1:10 on, the bass seems to sing the notes that she does, then her vocals accentuate it. Any thoughts on how to do this? ...

https://soundcloud.com/rave-hunter-official/just-a-bit-of-a-preview-for This is a bit of a longer preview of what i've been working on. Besides a super saw, it is all reese bass and it is all using the same process. Simply put, its a reese that's been resampled 4 or 5 times manually through stock e...

Re: The Reese Bass Thread
This is a song that has a least 12 different versions to it, but this time I finally got the right ting. Here's a tip: When making your reese with all its modulations, you'll probs think it sounds out of tune with your track (Unless you perfectly map out all modulations). Try chopping up your reese...

Re: Booming vocal bass ala Smaug in Hobbit movie.
just saw the hobbit last night. Was pretty amazed by the overall sound of the movie, especially Smaug. His voice is very low, but it doesn't sound like it is detuned to achieve the lowness. Ill try messing around with some waves plugins to see if i can get something similar.

Re: How do I make a KOAN Sound squelch?
modulate several filters at once.
you need your nuero bass to have lots of distortion, filter movement, as well as other effects in your chain

Re: The Reese Bass Thread
Worked on an old bass that I made using FM8. I have took a long break from using FM for reeses and I've realised that my old basses which were made using FM sound a lot more unique and original. Of course that is only because I personally prefer using FM for basses haha. Tell me what you think: htt...
