Re: The Official Growl Bass Thread
http://soundcloud.com/system53/skrillex-growl-test I used FL studio's DX10, I kinda remembered it was an FM synth so I thought i'd try to create growls and various sounds with it, so every sound you hear in there (except the drums of course :6: ) are DX10, with a Parametric EQ2 and a bloody overdri...

Re: How To Sound Like Skrillex & Make Skrillex Bass
http://soundcloud.com/system53/skrillex-growl-test Made this with FL studio, the growls were made with Fruity DX10, a Parametric EQ2 and a Bloody Overdrive, and that's it! I know Skrillex uses FM8 but you don't really need that synth specifically to make growls since you can pretty much recreate th...

Re: dubstep in fl studio
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GgNAl6vGt28&feature=plcp All songs made in FL studio, I'm not saying they're amazing I'm just showing how you can create many sounds with it. I used Ableton, Logic, and Reason, but I have most fun and ease using FL, mostly because I love the interface and how fast...

Re: [production bible 2] Headphones
Been using my AKG k121 for producing for a while. They have a lovely crisp sound but they lack in the low end. Otherwise really good for mixing vocals and higher sounds, and the quality they give is just crystal clear, but unfortunately they don't have good low end which doesn't make them that usefu...

Re: The Reese Bass Thread
I use FL's parametric EQ2 a lot for my reece. The one i made in the song in my sig (WW3) is simply a 3xosc, using 2 detuned saws, then some flanger/chorus/distortion/automating EQ points/moar distortion and finally some compression and a bit of reverb. I think what really makes the sound are the fil...

Re: Problem with a kick
If you're using fruity loops, open the sampler window and uncheck "use loop points" see if that helps if not then make sure you didn't have the DAW loop your sample, i used to get that problem a lot

Re: FL STUDIO OR NOT?
The only stock FL things I use are the reverb2, delay1 and parametric EQ2; all the rest is by by third party developers and samples. Honestly; it can do 95% of the things any other DAW can do and what it can't you can get a plugin what can. I can't stand any of the FL plugins, even those you mentio...
