Pier pressure

Anyone catch the massive free party last night on the temporary beach underneath the Festival Pier on the South Bank?? Much though I would have loved to have made it to the Rhythm Factory, catching some Vex'd blasting out to about 1000 people on the side of the Thames was pretty fucking special! Any...

Shame she's completely up her own arse too. Stories I've heard about her from promoters are nothing short of horrific.

Still, the tracklisting looks pretty decent, must be said.

Check back at this url in a month or two: www.overloadmedia.co.uk - an online electronic music mag that took over from a printed version. Interviews from Mick Harris and Surgeon through to Vibert and Photek. Site's undergoing a redesign but will be back up over the summer.

Hair of the Dog and Feel Good are absolute bombs aren’t they? I hope he culls a few more twelves off that, as I don’t think there’s a vinyl release in the pipeline. Saw him play in Bristol last weekend and he had me in bits – his production is fucking blistering.

Guess there's no point in recommending half the tunes I've bought recently cos everyone on here's probably got them.

So, on a different tip, this is a great ep of gritty, minimal industrial electro stuff:

MANASYT, Atlantis - Experimenten Met Mensen En Monsters (Bunker)

Yep, many thanks for this one. Checked it last night and it's well heavy, despite the cracklefest for the first part. Distance and Scuba form a tight unit.

Saw a car the other day parked up near Charing Cross. Was completely plastered in world cup paraphernalia from bumper to bumper... England flags hanging out of every orifice. Was totally gross, but the wheelclamp made me laugh some. Wish I'd got a photo.

Mmm, interesting. The programming and general musicality of the track made me think it was Vibert. Perhaps Mike Paradinas or one of the breakcore massive then…? (g’wan Baz, give us another clue).

Then he went to Ninja Tune and released Ataride which rocks in no uncertain terms. If you haven't got it, find it - its a 10 minute slo mo old school amen rinse out. Yeah, great track. What’s even nicer is that he gives it away (along with a load of other great tracks), just here: http://www.brainw...

The first stuff he ever put out was under his Wagon Christ alias, but I’ve not heard the more recent material. Those Rising High eps blew my mind back in the 90s. I love his stuff – borders on fromagecore from time to time, but his programming and production is consistently brilliant and he can turn...

60k of Opus Sound, outside at a festival in France with Zion Train playing.

We were two miles away on a hill, and the sound was perfectly crisp, balanced AND VERY LOUD.

Okay, before I get a roasting for being 'off topic', anyone checked this?

Undecided about the clips, though that third track sounds well heavy.

Fucking hell. Go offline for 48 hours and the internet doesn't hang about does it. I sincerely hope Gutter's blog isn't down for good - that would be a tragedy for music lovers. As has been mentioned, I'm sure a ton of people on here are sharing tracks they've downloaded from sites like Bleep via p2...
