I can't understand people actually buying plugins... are you a professional or just a hobbyist? Do you drink? Why? What I meant is if you're just a small hobbyist who isn't making any money out of his tracks, why should you pay for your plugins? BUT, if you're a professional who actually makes mone...

Thanks guys, it looks like I dont really need it, i was just curious as to whether anyone could tell me why its so expensive (I could get the Soundtoys Academic bundle for the same price and that has 8 plugins..) Looks like I'll be sticking with saturn, might get camelphat down the track a bit

Hey guys, i already own fabfilter saturn and i love using it to mildly distort sounds, but it seems quite tame and not so ideal for making those crazy wall-of-sound drop basses. I've been looking at trash 2 and ohmicide, i'm not really sure about ohmicides interface though, it seems pretty awkward.....

^ agree with mromg, cant count the amount of times i started sound design with a particular sound in mind only to have spent hours not getting close to it. Dont plan anything ahead, make your sounds first, THEN put them together.

Wait nevermind, i just read that you're using Garage Band. I dont know much about GB but cant you record audio in real time in it? It wouldnt be much of a DAW if you couldnt.. o.O

I may have misunderstood your question but do you have a DAW? It sounds like thats the thing you're looking for, if you're asking what i think you're asking
