Re: WIP Thread - GIVE FEEDBACK TO OTHERS BEFORE POSTING!!!
I'm very new to making electronic music, so i really shouldn't be giving advice to anyone, but I guess I can offer my opinion as a guy who listens to music. I promise I will give more concise feedback in the future when I'm hopefully better at this. @Gunnar: This sounds very good to me. I'm not real...

Re: Music theory - Multiple keys in a song
You can definitely use different keys in a tune. You can probably experiment with it until you find something that works, but it's easier to pull off if you know some basic music theory. Are you familiar with chord functions, etc?

Re: Where to find synths?
You'll find a huge pack of presets compiled by forums user Octoboy in this thread: viewtopic.php?t=277957&p=3471415
If I remember correctly, a lot of it is bass sounds, but you'll find some other stuff as well.

Re: Alright Newbies, Ask A Question

The obvious answer is to use a millisecond to look at the keyboard before pressing a key. Or you could start playing computer games, which...

Re: Alright Newbies, Ask A Question
I don't know if I can pick a favourite dubstep producer. I must admit it was a Skrillex tune (make it bun them) that got me interested in the genre, but most of his songs don't really do much for me. It's kinda difficult when you're getting into a new genre, because you don't really know where to st...

Re: Alright Newbies, Ask A Question
First of all, thanks for this thread, lots of useful information. I've been into making music for about 20 years, but although I've touched upon a lot of genres, I've never gotten into electronic music until recently. Over the course of the last 9 months or so, I've discovered that I really enjoy du...
