Try this instead: Create a great drum part and THEN create your killer sound to fit the drums.test_recordings wrote:Make a sound I like then work out a rhythm that will fit it. I've got no keyboard so I have to guess, quite annoying

You place lfotool on the track you want the compression on, then on the instrument you want to reference from, (like a kick), tell the channel you want it to listen to the compressed track by going to audio out to that channel. OR, you can just create a effects bus and reference that.
