Re: Mala - "Its getting harder and harder to play dubplates.

it's gonna start getting to that stage soon where i'm gonna bring another f**king bag to the dance with turntables in... I still very much rep vinyl and am sick of turning up to clubs to be presented with turntables that havent been serviced/seen use in ages, often with no headshell, broken pitch c...

Re: Mala - "Its getting harder and harder to play dubplates.

I still buy vinyl but only second hand. Most new music isn't even worth the vinyl it's cut into. That's a pretty outlandish statement to make when you consider Tempa, Chestplate, DMZ, Deep Medi and tons of other labels are putting out quality material, still... I am into that stuff. I did say most ...

Re: Mala - "Its getting harder and harder to play dubplates.

Only problem I have with vinyl is running out of space to store it it's pissing away all my money too (but that don't bother me) My vinyl collection always comes to mind when I wonder where all my money went when I was single. I should have lived like a king but I was always broke. Those 1,000's of...

Re: Burning in headphones?

How you can remember exactly the way something sounded 12 hours before amazes me. I can't do it. If there was a difference with burn in I would never be able to tell. I would like to compare and older pair of cans to the same pair brandspanking. Should put it to bed pretty quickly but I have never h...

Re: Burning in headphones?

I don't believe in burn in. Got mad respect for Macc and EP and normally they have great advice but this time I disagree but it's not worth arguing about either. Doesn't bother me a bit if you want to burn your cans in. I have seen these crazy guys talk about burning in rca cables and TV's too lol. ...

Looks like a whine thread lol so I guess I don't need to read the whole thing. I think I am about done with this site tbh. I am logging in less than once a week now. I hope I have most of the good folks from here on facebook or whereever. Of course facebook is giving me a migraine too.. I dunno.

Re: Audiopad :o

It's pretty similar to reactable and reactable they do have for iPad and iPhone but I don't think it's the same. The tactile knobs is pretty important I think. So we have all kinds of these systems out there. How long before we can get our hands on them and not make us mortgage the house.

Re: Do you have your music loud when producing

I have overdone the db quite a bit in my day. I am getting older though and the ears aren't holding up. I tend to mix at a nice medium level now but it's still fatiguing. I can't really do the headphones thing for very long tbh. I have been lucky to find places I can rock out in. Never lived in a pl...

this thread isn't that old... I've still only clocked about 5 hours on torq 2.0 and I have yet to encounter an issue funny thing is, my friend who was talking trash on torq and saying all he needed was serato, bought serato and he had the same problems he did with torq the problem is clearly his la...

Re: Traktor Scratch pro Mixing

I also have a related question about Traktor, I don't want to spam up the forum so i'll just ask in this thread. Has the first line of Traktor products been discontinued? I was looking into finally converting over to digital this week, but I can't seem to find the old TSP anywhere, just that the ne...

My 'budget' studio: http://img852.imageshack.us/img852/926/dscf1033.th.jpg Uploaded with ImageShack.us I can't put my finger on it but this picture looks like a photoshop or something. Just something unreal about it. Not saying it is, just saying that's what it looks like. Nice up anyway.

Re: Vinyl Vs. Digital

Yes completely different. One thing about vinyl is the technical limitations are a determining factor in the sound. Digital has more options in fact but most choose slammed. Very true and I still can't figure out why. When I rip my vinyl the wav looks totally different from the typical tune on Beat...

Re: Vinyl Vs. Digital

I am not really going to get into it either but I was putting on some of my older dubstep records last night and I have to be honest they sounded like crap! It's all the crackle and shit. I have actually gotten a little spoiled my digital because I didn't notice it as much when I was still all vinyl...

Re: Torq 2.0

Deckadance is not bad! I just set it up and everything is working like woah. I love the browser down the right side. Big issue with Torq is not fitting enough on the screen. Like it was designed before everyone had widescreens and just stuck with it. Not sure this will ultimately fix my problems but...

Re: New MacBook Pros and Thoughts on Lightpeak/Thunderbolt..

Yeah USB 3 is in trouble now because of this. I think USB 3 will become big but Thunderbolt will replace firewire. This is the replacement for firewire seeing how bad it failed, nothing can compete with USB, its far too popular. i wouldn't say firewire failed, at any given time it was the better st...

Re: what goes into making a "banger?"

Some people need to chill out. I don't hate anyone. I opened up for him once. He seemed pretty safe to me. I even dig a couple of his tunes. I am probably making fun of the mentality of half the n00bs that come up in here more than anything. Anyway how would you quantify "being better than Rusk...
