Re: Torq 2.0

I was going to pick up Traktor Duo but I just missed that sale they had. 179 bucks. Kicking myself right now. I found a sick deal on SL3 and I am going cry if I can't get the money in time because you can not find deals on Serato. This is basically like an off the back of a truck deal.

Re: Torq 2.0

YES Deck you have the same thing as me. It randomly quits and I have to pull the usb cord out and restart the program. Insane. Even thought there are quite a few threads on their board about it, they have no idea this problem exists. I am doubtful that it's even fixable but why would you want to sup...

On the real tho I haven't checked it but I have been reading the forum since it's tapatalk Compatable... Yow the mods are busy. Seems as tho they let it out basically in beta form. I might ...

Re: some thoughts on volume & mastering

I don't agree. You need both tone and level if you wish to please the maximum number of listeners. As always in mastering it's a balance between improvements and detriments and the engineers skill in hitting nail on head and the fact is increasing level is NOT always detrimental when you are using ...

Nah. You could do it though, why not? The less sampling and synths though the less it is going to sound like dubstep and more like a band at 140bpm imo.

Definitely Phil but man dubstep remixes of anything is weak sauce. Just play classic rock. Original mixes.

Re: background "filler"

The easiest way to go is to use breakbeats layered in there. Not always what you want tho. I like taking nasty dirty samples and even... I haven't tried it yet but I was going to record my final mix out of my monitors onto my phone and then layer that underneath the original mix. Could get some phas...

Re: deep or just boring?

This is my new endeavor. Music so boring, it actually epitomizes boring. PATENT PENDING. They already did this, it's called minimal techno I don't find that necesarilly true. I enjoy it actually but I do think it would get monotonous listening to it every day. yeah, some of it's good but there was ...

Re: Anyone can download your tunes from soundcloud!

I wasnt really commenting on anything or anyone in particular just making a statement. Personally I kinda assume anything that can be heard can be downloaded. My statement is in regards to the lock it down crew. It's kind of annoying to me. You have the right to lock it down but what purpose does th...

Re: deep or just boring?

I think people raving about how their own tunes are so deep, meditative, chilled (and so on) is just as annoying and pretentious as all the "filthy/epic/wubwubwub" stuff. I think some producers see it that by making "deep" stuff they're above all the brostep crew already. I thin...

Re: Anyone can download your tunes from soundcloud!

If it's just 128k I don't care. I am not paranoid. People are going to have access to the high quality stuff as soon as everything is released. I like to put up full songs on soundcloud from the label. I don't care. I don't do this for the people that would play 128k out live. I do it for the people...

Re: Anyone can download your tunes from soundcloud!

So how do they get around the download counter? I have set tunes to download for a short period of time and taken it back off and the counter stays up. There is no download counter. Except there is. When you enable downloads anyway. Soundcloud keeps track because it's part of your plan how many you...

Re: Anyone can download your tunes from soundcloud!

@abZ I imagine that due to the fact it's downloading the stream not the other method, possibly you get a "authentication ticket" that affects your counter? But the stream is 128k. Doesn't it actually encode a 128k for streaming rather than trans-coding on the fly? I mean I don't know shit...
