Re: Mala quotes (said to you personally)
This was that place in 2006-08 for that ^. Its been dead for years. It's just the fan-boy/girling that shakes people the wrong way. Its Dubstep for christ sakes. Just made by normal bods in their bedrooms bar about 30 guys who actually have a real career from it, anyone whos been into the sound lon...

Re: Mala quotes (said to you personally)
Listen geez, I made a post which was met with a series of taunting, I challenged the logic behind that, the challenge itself was ridiculed. How would anyone react to such blatant disrespect? This is meant to be somewhere peeps can talk about stuff that interests them not a platform for the majority ...

Re: Mala quotes (said to you personally)
there used to be some fucking respect for peeps trying to share something on a positive tip. What a complete waste of my time trying to engage with such shallowness and ignorance. Fuck dubstep.

Re: Mala quotes (said to you personally)
You have all just demonstrated exactly what I was describing: forming little cliques because you're unable to account for the garbage you spiel out here. It's incredible how petty and vindictive you all are (and arrogant, who says I'm a bloke). I said when something amazing actually happens not just...

Re: Mala quotes (said to you personally)
Sorry I didn't realise the thought police were in town. I'll just agree with everything everyone else says, and  when I can't formulate my own thoughts and stick to mundane topics so that we can perpetuate the dullest every dialogues known to man. Big each other up for behaviour like fevered li...

Re: Mala quotes (said to you personally)
This is interesting, confront a bully, and all they can do is smirk. Just like in the playground like children. Do you know that clinical psychologists regard laughter in many scenarios as displacing anxiety and anger. You shat on my post. I asked you a question in response. All you do is laugh rath...

Re: Mala quotes (said to you personally)
Seriously boss, is that you reply?..... At least engage with SOME of the words (you know, those things that combine to form sentences). To say you seem so convinced of your own immaculate conception, you haven't yet ventured to say why I am wrong and why you felt entitled to mock someone you don't e...

Re: Mala sets
Yep, but I don't reckon they would all be %100 planned. Pinch said he drew from a stack of vinyl he was just playing at that moment and mixed it on the fly for Fabric, not planning too much. Like you say, you get to know the tunes and what works well together and I think they selection becomes natur...

Re: Mala quotes (said to you personally)
If that's how you want to interpret it that's fine. I simply wrote what (I think) Mala said to me and what I think it might have meant. As people increasingly take their experiences (I have done this myself) as commodities from which they can derive esteem or sense of importance, I felt it was an im...

Re: Mala quotes (said to you personally)
What an absolutely pointless thread. So do you all basically go on to a forum to just ridicule and not actually talk about anything relating to the topic? This is one of the most redundant threads I've ever posted on when all the original poster asked was what conversations with Mala people have had...

Re: dmz - heartless ninja
Look into sarcasm, Yung Tek. Yeah I got it and chose to switch the general tenor of the conversation, only because it seems that many of the posts here consist of drivel and little else. But in the spirit of bawdry, who is young? I'm 62 and could run rings around all you whipper snappers. tink ye k...

Cheers bud, is it common practice to just ridicule each other here? Instead of offering something vaguely interesting or positive yourself? Good vibes bro (look, someone else can be sarcastic too! It's THAT easy).DiegoSapiens wrote:Deep

Re: Mala sets
Yeah fair play I spent time harvesting samples of dubs from Joe Nice shows just to be able to hear new tunes when I couldn't get to a night . Some studio mixes sound too rehearsed tho IMHO. A good Dj has flair and spontaneity which I can't seem to spot in many studio mixes.

Re: When does "minimal" become too simple?
I'd say (for what it's worth) that the two aren't synonymous (i.e simple doesn't = minimal, and vice versa), and that 'simple' doesn't have to be construed negatively. Pinch's stuff is quite minimal however it is far from simple, in that the very few elements are arranged in often complex ways e.g e...

Re: Mala sets
Doesn't Mala frequently say he'd rather people made the effort to go to the dance and check it out in reality as the music is meant to be heard on a huge system? Hence the reason for not making EVERYTHING available for anyone to DL. Not knocking people wanting new Mystikz sets but I can see the poi...

OOOH, SHOTS FIRED, BIG MAN TEKKI WONT HOLD BACK EZ, No 'big man' here just have an opinion and think there is still much more to be done with the genre and a tune like heartless ninja is a good example of ideas are more potent than mere production technique alone. A polished to perfection beat that...
