dubstep has given me a whole new enthusiasm

i still love dnb.....but a lot of it is just too cheesy or over compressed now.

Easy! Im new. Been in to dubstep for a while & just started producin. Been making & releasing drum & bass for a few years under a different name. I feel the need to explore different things & the dubstep is one of them. This site seems decent not to much netspeak. Always good. :)

yeah man best off to do it by ear.

you can also use wavelab to tell you what note a sample is.
or you can use spectral analysis.
cos some people take a while to train there ears, i did.

hmmmm iv listened to a few tracks by dnb producers......

i think you can afford to have a lot more space in dubstep mixdowns than you can in dnb these day.

i am a dnb producer myself, i am currently working on a load of dubstep stuff & finding it very liberating
