i reckon a foley room is where they make foley.

foley is the incidental sounds in a film or tv show.
every footstep, glass clink, key rattle, blood drip.
all done by a foley artist.

(insert pun about axel foley)

Yeh there is good bass on some headphones but that's just the tip of the iceberg for dubstep, I think I could respect the opinion of someone who has only heard of dubstep on a laptop or whatever, because deep down I know that when they do end up at a night with a sub rattling their bones they will ...

to add to the post punk stuff: "Y" (album) by The Pop Group. mixed by Dennis "Blackbeard" Bovell, experimental punk in a dub styleeeeeee. if u really want glitchy/noisy/breakcore/etc dubstep-inspired electronica u might like some of Ebola's recent bits. Dj Scud and I-Sound's Wast...

saying it's completely pointless without subs is just a diss to the producers. if they only wanted sub, there'd be nothing to stop them building tunes like that. as it is, there's some pretty tasty stuff going on upstairs in a lot of tunes, which is fortunate really. but then the music is lead by th...

too dense and thickly layered to sound dubby.
that's if "dubby" means it reminds you of dub.
it doesn't remind me of dub at all.

i did think that i mainly wanted to hear ravey, up-beat stuff in the dance. then i went to a dubstep do. got hit by tunes by loefah, digital mystikz, kode9 etc. realised that the rational mind knows nothing about enjoying music. nowadays, to me, really jumped up, mega-kean beats just sound a bit nai...

good will bunting

sun writers do it up pantomime style cos that's why ppl buy newspapers. to see clusters of related information styled as narrative and to feel drama. that's a coincidence, though. my beef is, after looking at good old will's myspace, when i listen to his tunes i am newly overwhelmed. i see his face ...

the winged ants thing happens one day a year.
theyre looking for a new nest or sth.
on that day all the mackerel come to the shore and go apeshit,
trying to catch ants landing on the water.
the shoreline is basically fizzing with fish and ants.

it's nice.
