I'm actually strictly pressing for merch to sell on my own website and at my shows and to have something to send to promoters and djs. I have great digital distribution and see vinyl more as a special thing...not very interested in a real distro deal, but if I were, I'd go with a US distro like Groo...

Word - I was just on the URP site - it's got a nice quote generator. It seems that you have to hit press 1K copies to really hit the price point of $2 a copy....that's what I'd heard as well. So, it seems that the mastering and lacquer creation process are probably the most important for bass music....

Pressing vinyl...where to start?
I'm interesting in pressing vinyl. Who presses the best bass music? Is it possible to get down to $2 a copy? I searched a bit for a related thread, but didn't see anything. Thanks!

Origins of Dubstep Audio Story/Podcast?
Hey all! I have been sifting through my old 2step/garage/grime records and thinking about starting a podcast on the origins of dubstep. Some of that music became really sparse here in the states and I'm sure it may be a story told much better by someone from the UK. I was collecting everything Bingo...

Quirky Funk House Masters: Jacob London
I love these guys - they make the funkiest house music I have every heard - their live sets are great - been doing this a minute, with their first vinyl in 1997! But yeah, just thought I'd drop 'em on you - they're doing some really deep, minimal, progressive and disco sounding solo stuff too now. (...

Triplet tutorials/tips/techniques?
I've been able to skate for a grip without using triplets at all...it's high time I get a little more interesting. Can you please post some links or tips and also prime examples of good usage of triplets, please? What are the best sounds to use - are they prime for fills / where do the fit best in t...
