Re: drone synthesis/sources

Cheers for the heads up. especially since I finally bought a mic (cheap one) and I've been doing more recording of nosies and nature, etc. I tell you, recording your own sounds, at least for me, brought a breath of fresh air to my productions. Don't know why I haven't done this earlier.

Re: DSF Q&A Sessions 17: Vaccine

No offense, and yeah this may be personal, but as I don't have a significant other that makes beats. do you and your husband have a "No sex in the studio" policy? Mates of mine has been debating this. Otherwise, Was it hard to do gigs with just renoise at first? do you color code your trac...

Re: A good musician can make any idea work

As long as you still feel that it could work. Then yes. But as stated before, it's knowing when an idea is worth pursuing and when it's just time to let it go and move on. but then if any idea can be made to work doesn't that mean that every idea is worth pursuing? There are ideas that does lead to...

Really interesting release.

Already getting my chops up with the scripting. I want to be able to make things happen in renoise (like a full interface for my Emu E4xt Ultra). Fun times indeed.

Re: DSF Q&A Sessions Vol. 13: Akira Kiteshi (OPEN for questions)

What's your favorite effect command to use in Renoise? Do you have one that you don't use a lot but would like to incorporate it more in your music?

Any tips you can spare with the Ring Mod device. Been trying to use that but can't seem to make use of it.

Re: Purification

Did it twice. The first time, my HDD crashed, and I panicked. I mean, gigs of samples just vanished with no recovery option at all. The second time, I noticed I kept reaching for the same sounds. Turns out, 95% of them were downloaded from the net. I felt sick, and deleted the whole hundred or so gi...

Actually, I find that it's best to swap tunes with good mates in the production field and get/give feedback that way.

Just a personal preference.
