whats the Point of getting another cheap soundcard?? silly advice. if he doesnt use ad conversion it doesnt fuckin matter. and even da conversion is only usefull for reference when mixing... and even than, without a treated room and expensive speakers, the soundcard will hardly fall into account.

as long as you don't Record anything through the line in and do the final mix on external monitors, it won't make any difference whatsoever...

... don't know bout this tune in particular, but quite a few tunes i got there had skips and faults in them. i now buy @ boomkat. try writing them. they are usually quite helpful at digital tunes... they managed to get me a good replacement file in some cases...

... don't get me wrong ;-) i still love my torq... i spend so much time with it, and it wasn't an easy decision to switch. after it crashed on a friend of mine while playing, i got scratch... only then i realised what a huge difference there was. its about many small details, stability and sound... ...

oh... and those multi cables from traktor scratch are also very usefull for the conectiv... when u use them, u can avoid the shitty phono preamps of the conectiv, and play vinyl with everything conected even if the computer crashes and the conectiv doesn´t have power no more.... very important if so...

don´t forget to bring cartridges/ needles and something to clean the inside of the tonearm.... a cigarette filter can do the job or better one of those pencils with the rubber at the end..... u should be okay if your system and playlist and so on are ´tidy´... but if it starts behaving funny, i woul...

i wouldn't do that. the m-audio has cheap parts and if u take it apart and glue it back together... better build ur own one. try midibox.org. its not that difficult i think. i wanted to try that myself. u can also check djtechtools. com. he shows how to 'mod' all kind of things.

u can't export midi or do any serious mixing, etc. doesn't have vst.. blah blah.. i just like it cause i can quickly try out new patterns with my own samples... although i didn't try to load my own samples yet...

i got it a fewdays ago, and... .. it's amazing!!! no reverb.. i'm amazed it has routable effects at all. and they sound nice especially the bit crusher has a very good sound. anyway the overall sound is quite good. made a dubstep tune with inbuild sounds, connected it to my system and was blown away...

hmm.. i'm still very curios about the blofeld and virus. there sure are some nice alternatives shown here...
