Re: Mastering presets? (reason)

To tell the truth, I wouldn't bother using the mastering suite. I did used to, but compressing everything can cause big problems. How I set things up now is: One mixer for drums. I usually use individual hits now days. Each hit is in a combi which has eq, various effect and maximizers. The maximizer...

Here is a combi I made with the help of a youtube video. My version is slightly different to the youtube one though, that was more of a glitch machine. I have put this up on various sites. It was done with Reason 3, so it should work in 4. How to use: Load sample into the nn19, draw note in sequence...

I've been waiting for a while for people to start doing dubstep influenced drum and bass. Not halfstep and wobbles at 170bpm, but dnb with based around sparseness, atmosphere and bassweight. It seems like a lot of DnB producers (at all levels) are thinking 'hey this dubstep stuff sounds cool, I'll ...

The scene seems really stagnent now days compared. Must admit, Dylan, Limewire ect are producing wicked tracks still. mate, if you listen to dylan etc, then how on earth can you use the word stagnent in the same sentence? come on, i really wanna know, and who the fuck is limewire? Limewire :D Sorry...

lol, im talking about the spider audio merger and splitters. crack is fun. It's all above. If you can't understand what was wriiten above, then you may aswell give up with reason now :bins: As said above, you can route a device through a audio splitter, take one route out and maybe eq out the high ...

It can be really hard to get those deep chords (which sound crap with all the low end rolled off) to sit with those kicks and the subs that characterise their tunes. Sidechaining (which is extremely easily in Reason 4) for the win ... Two things that bother me with Reason: 1) not able to work with ...

A good set up someone showed me, was to output all of the individual drum outputs into a seperate 14:2 mixer, then add your effect (reverb, Dist ect) to the four send/return on the mixer. Then turn it into a combi and you have a nice quick easy setup for ya drums. Personally, I think the NNXT is bet...

I have just started this. I don't really know anything about Dubstep, except it 'has' to be 138!!! Anyway, I'm looking forward to winning this

Is there any other rule to Dubstep except the speed??? Does it have to have a wobbly B line? My tune doesn't really require one :?

All my samples are a mess!

I was going to re-install windows and sort it out, but my DVD drive decided to stop reading CD's for some reason. So my machine is like a bomb site!

Thats the thing. I really like Reason. I tried a cracked copy of Live and to tell the truth, I found it really confusing and messy. But I didn't really give it a big chance. I probably would of given up on Reason to, if it wasn't for the fact I paid for it. I think Live is now on 7, would a Lite ver...

LIVE 5 Lite

I am thinking of buying a M-Audio Axiom 25. I have found a second hand one, but the LIve 5 disk is missing. I can buy a brand new package for about $80 kiwi more.

I use Reason 3, is it really worth spending another $80 for the Lite version of Live 5???

Thanks for putting these up. I normally try to create my own sounds in Reason, but it is always interesting to see how someone else creates there effect/sounds. I will have a look at these. Thanks again.
