It can be really hard to get those deep chords (which sound crap with all the low end rolled off) to sit with those kicks and the subs that characterise their tunes. Sidechaining (which is extremely easily in Reason 4) for the win ... Two things that bother me with Reason: 1) not able to work with ...

A good set up someone showed me, was to output all of the individual drum outputs into a seperate 14:2 mixer, then add your effect (reverb, Dist ect) to the four send/return on the mixer. I am thinking of buying a M-Audio Axiom 25. I have found a second hand one, but the LIve 5 disk is missing. I can buy a brand new package for about $80 kiwi more.

I use Reason 3, is it really worth spending another $80 for the Lite version of Live 5???
