Hi Macc, I had a little read of the first page of that thread and have a small question about fader volumes/gain structuring. I think I am lacking in some basic knowledge of this. If I have one solo track peaking at -6db and then I solo another track that is also -6db will the output on the master f...

Didn't think this would be so complicated. My mixes sound even and pretty good. The only problem is that they are too quiet. I have had a little search on RMS power levels but havn't found much usefull information. Can anyone direct me to a tutorial or something, I am still feeling very confused. Th...

Cubase Mixdowns
Hello, Just had a little question on mixing down tunes on Cubase. Whenever I mixdown one of my tunes on cubase I always make sure that the fader is down so my output doesnt spill over the 0db mark to avoid clipping. But when I mix it down and play it, it seems a good few db quieter then any professi...

This is so jokes. I get the same type of shit you guys are talking bout. Sometimes if i have just made a propper sick beat or bassline it seems to dig itself into my head and i cant get the damn thing out! Its like the music came from my brain so it fits so well in there on loop. For this reason i f...

Distortion!
Hi people, Im looking for a decent new distortion plug-in, just wondering what you lot use or would recommend. At the moment all i really use is Izotope Trash. Its pretty good actually. I think its attempting to recreate the sound of real amplifiers but you can get some really nice sounds when apply...

Automation in Battery 3
Hi there, I have been using Battery 3 now for quite a while but i still cant figure out how to automate it. I am using Cubase sx3 and when i try the 'Read/Write' feature it doesnt work. When i turn 'Write' on and automate a knob on Battery, when i play it back with the 'Read' button activated, no au...

I installed a cracked version of Hypersonic 2 and had the same problem. Its a pretty shit program tbh tho. It is all we used during college and some of the sounds are ok. The strings can sound pretty good when you add in some decent reverb and EQing. My advice would be to either buy it, i think its ...

lol, it would seem that way. But seriously, its not predicting the notes i play, it just places them too early in the tune after i play them in. So if i just play along to the click and record that, when i listen to it the notes will all be slightly early. Its fucking wierd! Had the same card and so...

Isnt a soundblaster decent? Ive heard its good for production. The wierd thing is that i had the exact same soundcard and software on my previouse pc and it worked fine. Now i have bought a beast: quad core, 4gig ram etc, but i am having this problem. When you say lower your buffers is that the same...
