Think i might have to, can't update from Apple site because the next updates need Intel chip which I don't have.

sounds like the kind of thing a reinstall would fix. if you don't have the original disks, provided it's legit then maybe you can download a free update from the apple site with your serial number? (btw, not pointing fingers or anything, but i wouldn't assume that software installed on a secondhand...

Also... It still works fine, just looks weird.

I bought the computer off someone else with it installed, I'm 99% its a legit copy.

The only thing i can think of is I used a application that finds and deletes duplicated files to free up space cos my iTunes is a bit messed up. Maybe its deleted something it shouldn't of?
