dubstep mixtape, track list inside.

I'm sure half of the mixes here don't get listened to. I wanted to post this and get a little feedback on track selection if possible. Everytime I record a set I get paranoid that I am focusing either too much on making the two songs fits, and not on the set as a whole -- or vica versa. Some of the ...

Re: whats your live performance setup like?

2 Pages had me a little excited. Thanks for those who've contributed to this thread. I don't really have to add though.

And for the record, no one cares what anyone else on the internet thinks, so stop worrying.

Malware warning from Google.

I'm sure this is probably from a hosted image, or some shit. Not too worried as I am posting here, but I figured I would do my civil duty and let _someone_ know that Chrome is spitting this error at me when trying to browse DSF. No harm meant for DSF or FPR, just trying to expedite the repair proces...

Re: could this end up a problem?

I wouldn't worry if someone has already taken your desires myspace URL, its not that important in the grand scheme of things ;) But yeah, unique names are hard to come by. This is true with music, domains, companies, etc. Find something unique...or not, and dont get too asshurt when someone steals i...

Re: Setting tempos in tracks

If you know what bpm range you want to be in before you start, otherwise it might be time wasted. If you are just trying to jam, then do whatever sounds good.

Nothing wrong with preferring windows to osx. Just don't publicly put something down based on ignorance. Most people grew up using windows, and remember mac's from their 2nd grade classroom. Mac's are for a diffrent type of user. There are not as many programs for osx, but the ones that exist are us...

Load snare into sampler and go up the scale on the keyboard.

You can also insert a pitching plugin to the snare channel, and hit A in arrange to automate whatever controls you might want to change.

Is the sound being created anything at all like the patch you programmed? Do you keep the VST open durring record & play back? If so, does anything appear to change durring play back vs when you recorded? Sometimes midi can give program change codes, and your synth might be defaulting to some ra...

I am going to guess that you are trying to layer the sounds of Thor, NNxt, and SubTractor together. If this is the case, you probably had NN-XT and Subtractor routed to your main mixer, and when you went to reload the patch it didnt do the external routing as he said. You need to insert a mixer into...

Most gear is overrated. You can have a very efficient studio with little cost. Audio interface Midi keyboard Monitors Rock solid computer done. I wanted to buy a bunch of gear when I had none, because I thought it would help my tunes out. It didn't really do anything for me for the most part, except...
