So the smart thing to do would be to hold off and come for the first FWD of March and stay for DMZ? Sounds good to me!

Thanks for the info!

Forward>> Schedule?

What is the schedule for Forward? I'll be in London the first week of February and I'm trying to figure out if I should try to stick around for a few extra days to catch Forward, but I don't know which weeks it is.

Also, when are DMZ events held?

Don't hold your breath - that's been listed since 2000, I think it's actually a running joke.
Hey, "Swarm and Dither" eventually came out, so who knows?

I actually have an Echo Audio Indigo dj card for my laptop, so I have two outs. I set it up so that channels alternate between the two outs and I have them plugged into separate channels on the DJ mixer, that way I can actually use the crossfader and EQs on the real mixer, which is quite nice. I ha...

I caught a Surgeon set end of last year at some Warp night down Plastic People. Was very slick, the way he just plonked his powerbook and his little box of faders on top of the deck. It was more a of a DJ set than live p.a. but sounded like he was mixing in loops over tunes aswell, and cutting up l...

I purchased Plasticman - "Cha" and Mark One - "Fight" from http://bleep.com/ and played them out in a DJ set.

I'm a big fan of this.

Sounds like our crowds are around the same size... We do an all-local monthly on Mondays, though. I'm hoping if we bring in bigger names on a weekend we can do a lot better than that. We're lucky because Chicago had an excellent drum and bass scene (still going strong) and we can build off that a lot.

As much as I like other songs, giving the award to any song but "Midnight Request Line" would just be silly.

Chicago is actually starting to rep dubstep proper, which is nice. We do a grime/dubstep monthly here at a DNB bar with a wicked turbosound system and people actually seem to be feeling it. The amazing part is that the nights are like half girls. It's mostly just Nogunri and me pushing the dubstep s...
