This has happened to me before, what I did to fix was loaded the sample in Audacity, then exported from there and it worked fine!

Export it as audio and then visually see where the loudest part of the track is by the length of the wave.
In Logic Pro you can check the loudest peak in a track using an analyser.

Okay... I Bought a cable that goes in the midi in and midi out of the Korg that plugs straight into my mac through usb.
