Yeah I have reverb on it to give it a nice tail and some depth. But I'm talking about some Akira Kiteshi type snares ya know?

Another Snare Question
So I've got my snare sounding really punchy, clean, and it sits well in the mix. But, a lot of snares on dubstep tracks have this huge snare thats got this "pshhhhh" sort of tail on it. Maybe it's white noise? Distortion? My question is not about how do I get it to sit well or cut through,...

Is your problem the actual bass sound, or the bass melody? My problem is the actual bass sound. I can think of melodies and lead lines no problem. Maybe like people have said, I need to stop trying to fit some bass mold and instead, just start tweaking away and see what happens. Fucking writers blo...

Yes, I can make your basic wobble, I know my way around the DAW, I've tried loads of processing, and I've read the bible's. Yet still, my bass line sound flat and trite. I've tried Albino, Massive, Alchemy and loads of other synths, so at this point, I'm assuming the problem is me. Sorry to waste yo...

markbass studio 1 Update: I've had a chance to sit down with most of the suggested plug-ins here, and without a doubt, IMHO Markbass 1 for the win! I still haven't dialed in a preferred crunchy tone with it necessarily, but the clean channel right of that bat is noticeably more vibrant, crispy and ...

Just bought Komplete which contains guitar rig, I'll let you know how it sounds in a week or so when I get it all installed :) What do you feel is lacking in your tone? I've tried a variety of different freebee guitar sims on the bass to greater and lesser success, nothing I'm too happy with. I'm D...

Analog Bass Distortion
So I've been playing my bass guitar on some dubstep tracks. I've tried a few distortion plug-in's and I really don't care for the sound of any of them. Anyone have any suggestions? I've tried Camel Phat, Bitcrushers, and regular overdrive/distortion but they all sound bad Cheers
