Re: How much $ are the "big" guys making

Bugger haha. I only started making dubstep because my psytrance live sets weren't paying as much as I wanted (i.e enough to live off). I thought it must be a bit more lucrative as there are so many more people who like it, far more commercial, more events etc. There must be a fair few producers who ...

Oh- and I don't just use it for wobbly bass. Its also great for just about any other type of sound you can mention (if used properly). I love it for making really bizzare sound fx for my psytrance tunes. I find it can be a bit TOO fat sometimes though and has to be heavily Equed and filtered to leav...

I usually stick to NI Massive for my basslines because of the LFO routing options (esp the performance mode). Don't use presets if I can help it these days because if you use presets you run the risk of sounding the same as everyone else who has used that preset. Sometimes tweaking a good preset is ...

gurnface- good intro synth :) the tune sounds like it could do with some more "general stuff" in it though. Maybe some atmospheric sounds or a second synth line. Maybe a bit more percussion to make it drive a bit? To say you have only been producing for that long its a great effort tho :) ...

New to dubstep :)

Ey up! I am new to doing this, this is my first proper crack at making some dubstep. I normally produce psytrance so its a bit of a learning curve. Would really appreciate any feedback on this tune, both production-wise and stuff that could be improved about the actual tune. http://www.sendspace.com...
