They're sick producers, I would love to be as talented as them.

You can release your own but unless you are fucking Skream you aren't going to sell anything. I have my own label and release my own tunes but no solely and I don't exclusively put out on my label either. IMO if other labels won't sign your stuff then it probably isn't worth putting out. In my case...

Releasing your own tunes?

Someone (can't remember who or where or when :lol: ) was on about something like releasing their tunes on their own instead of getting it signed to a label or something? or did i mis hear?

not really sure what im on about, but just wanderd how this worked?

Metallic Snares?

Does anyone know how to make these? Or where to find some samples, i've tried searching but couldn't find anything along the lines I was thinking of.

You know those metallic sounding snares you get in the really dark DnB tunes or some dubstep tunes?

Or am I chatting bollacks...

well... Personally, i would just wack your best limiter on the end of the chain just to get the levels around the same (dont push too hard tho). But be carefull as theres such a thing as a gain control :wink: Also, i personally will only get things mastered when i know they are being released or se...

yeh it does, and i made sure of all the frequencies etc etc nothing clashes and it sounds nice and clear, its just not very loud so the other tunes completely swamp it in the mix im doing.
