Re: DSF Q&A Sessions 19: Phaeleh
Errr - a screenshot of any project file would be good! Here you go mate, though realised you won't be able to see much of the drum programming as I bounce it all down through my compressor to audio, but you can get an idea of the arrangement of sounds hopefully! Re: DSF Q&A Sessions 19: Phaeleh
Hay Phaeleh, I just saw your status from your fanpage and couldn't resist coming on to tell you that i love your style. I also agree heavily on your views about how a producer should in general go about doing what they what and not trying to be something they are not. & congratulations overall ...

Re: DSF Q&A Sessions 19: Phaeleh
Was there anything over the time that you were first learning to produce that would have made you better, faster or did you get everything quite quickly? HUGE fan of the music. Without doubt in the top three artists accross all genres for me! Nice one mate, that's quite the complement! In terms of ...

Re: DSF Q&A Sessions 19: Phaeleh
Thanks very much for replying to my question, really appreciate you taking the time and got a lot of respect for your choice of songs, stuff like early Prodigy got me into electronic music in the first place. No worries mate! Glad you enjoyed the choices, was a pretty hard question but I'm pleased ...

Re: DSF Q&A Sessions 19: Phaeleh
So, after being familiarized with your sound; here are the things I am interested in knowing.. Can we get a screenshot of some drum arrangements/a fully sequenced track? Listening back through those tracks you posted for me - I really love how much movement you have while still being quite half-ste...

Re: Connecting Laptop to Monitors
The guy's chatting shit. Get a mini jack to 2xphono lead and just plug into a line input on your mixer! If there's background noise when the laptop is plugged in, but not when it's running on batteries you'll need one of these: http://www.maplin.co.uk/ground-loop-isolator-33172?c=froogle&u=33172...

Whoops, missed this one!RINSE wrote: going for a 2 in 1, abit cheeky, but whats your favourite remix done one one of your own songs?
That's a tricky one, but I'm a big fan of the dBridge remix of afterglow because he's taken it somewhere completely different to the original!

Re: DSF Q&A Sessions 19: Phaeleh
props man! That's exactly what i needed to hear really. I do tend to make vastly different tracks and that's whats kinda thrown me as everyone I listen to always seems to have a really defined style and it's so evident that they have a very intimate and personal relationship with their own idiosync...

Re: DSF Q&A Sessions 19: Phaeleh
Once you go about setting up a sub bass patch, what process do you use to modulate it within a tune? Is it something primarily done within the arrange window of the sequencer, something done internally within the sampler perhaps? Maybe a little bit of both? I tend to find myself stuck with destruct...
