Re: Benga retires
The sub on that one is some proper Stone Cold business. Also shame there isn't a longer Youtube rip. Chef let it play for a fair while on that N-type 10 year Rinse thing a year or so back

Re: What are you reading?
Reading The Shining at the moment. Really cool but also interesting to see some of the fairly drastic changes Kubrick made in adopting it

Re: What are your favourite films?
I love both There Will Be Blood and Mulholland Dr but they explore similar territory to Citizen Kane and Persona respectively so wanted to get some variation in there.

To balance out the above 10 more well known ones I guess I could just give 10 of those more obscure favourites:

The Death of Mr Lazarescu
The Son (2002)

Re: What are your favourite films?
Persona is pretty heavy viewing and definitely benefits from rewatches. Irreversible, Seven Samurai and Metropolis are all favourites of mine, not seen the others but certainly interested. I was very close to popping Metropolis on there. My list feels more predictable than yours to be honest but the...

What are your favourite films?
Don't think this one has been done before, at least not while I've been on this forum. This is far from an absolute list and depending on how I was feeling on the day there's at least a dozen others that could swap in for the ones on this list but 10 works well for getting an idea of someone's taste...

Re: Secret Ninja Movie Club (aka what have you watched latel
American Sniper from what I've heard is a fairly nausiating example of 'Murica. And based on Clint Eastwood's recent directing efforts I'd say it sits rock bottom on the Oscar nominees I'm interested in seeing. Will the Academy ever get over their hard-on for bio-pics? Birdman was cool but I'm a suc...

Not saying anyone here thinks this but swear a lot of people think this is Volvic because it's being played at the same time on Dubstep Allstars 5.

Re: ghostbusters remake will have female main characters
why does hollywood feel the need to keep rebooting and remaking stuff, why cant they all just fuck off and come back when they can generate some original content Because Hollywood cares about box office figures and if you look at what has made the most money in the 21st century it's nearly all fran...

I've not seen Imitation Game but regardless of how good it is it's done a good thing letting people know who Alan Turing was, hopefully a few more people will check him out independent of the film. Also, Fury was incredibly mediocre, desperately wished it was Inglourious Basterds.
