Re: FL Studio Problem
I`ve had that problem after I installed samsung keys app. I only had problems with FL studio, everytime I would load a plugin I would get a similar ntdll message. I searched and searched, found people with similar problems but no answer so I had to reinstall the system. Hope you dont have the same p...

Re: The Reese Bass Thread
YOur modulation is good, i think you also made that reece with muscle man sample? If so you really appear to know where to automate, notch bp whatever you call it... I dont know if its harmor`s processing or you threw a reverb on the whole thing but it sounds like I am listening to it from another r...

Re: The FL Studio Q&A Thread
Thanks a lot, but how do you actually adjust it so that the output mixer gain controls every point on the automation clip? I seriously gave your post a good 2 or 3 minutes of hard thinking and I think I know what you want...you can do this by placing something that will control the volume on the in...

Re: The FL Studio Q&A Thread
This isn't too much of a problem, but does anyone have a solution to this: Basically, when I make an automation clip, using the output volume fader, so it builds up, or fades down, or does something, but then I think that in general, the synth, effect, vocal, etc, is too loud, is there anyway, to si...

Re: Basic reese bass on fm8?
Just send 3 (or 6) detuned saws to the output. Resample etc... (but why use FM8 for that???) Why not? because its not using Fm synthesis.... it doesnt have to use fm synthesis. This is exactly why many people give up on fm8. Best approach IMO is to use it as a subtractive, basic synth and then try ...

Yo guys! :Q: Tried to make some Drumstep earlier today. I think I got a pretty "ok", not over the edge, kinda sound out of Reason, Malström and Ableton. :) If you want details about the FX-chain and whatnot, just tell me and maybe I'll post some screens! :W: http://soundcloud.com/autism-1...

Re: a few questions about writing in audio and recording
I`ve found that I tend to finish stuff when I work with remixes too. I think its mostly because you are already following a certain structure and building your own around it. Bouncing audio pushes you forward cause thats a part you already filled, for example you have a nice legato bass going on for...

Re: The Official Growl Bass Thread
the quickest way if you are just working with filters is to modulate in the area where you hear the growl and then apply a decent amount of resonance. Then distortion to make it more aggressive. I think everyone here has probably taken this step already.

bought a BCR 2000
I got my hands on a bcr 2000 and my greatest succes was assigning mmc messages via learn to play and stop FL. I noticed however that there are a few knobs that cant be assigned and its a midi thing...I thought i knew enough about midi but it turns out I dont. There are plenty of knobs I can assign a...

Re: Low quality MP3s as a sound design technique
good idea but your examples just show the transformation from noise to a different noise. would have been better if you used a more common sound, acoustic guitar or a drum loop.

Re: Producing without a sub?
if you produce at a reasonably low level your ears tend to tell you to have more low end, but when you turn it up you can often realize that the bass is at an ok level, check the fletcher munson curve for that

Re: Me so stuck (Fx/eq on bass and whatnot)
it sounds pretty decent for you to continue automating and fx-ing it. At first the process is trial and error but after some time as its already been said, you get the feeling where to go and what to do. Needs more punch?-compress, needs more movement?-pan,flange,phaser etc...
