Re: Dubstep becoming too dark and masculine?

something random just reminded me of a blackdown article on pitchforkmedia where he wrote about how dubstep was becoming too dark and masculine and i was just sitting in the sun and thinking.. that guy couldnt be more right. now i love a dark, twisted, banger as much as the next guy but maybe more ...

I play dubstep on the radio just about every week, but being that it's a hobby for me I can't afford to buy loads of dubplates, or maybe I'm just not dedicated enough. With dubstep, everything being listened to now is a dub and releases are like 6 months old. So I end up playing tracks that are not ...

Hey, first off straight respect to RINSE FM for providing a podcast. Best thing to happen to me in a long time!

Skream is toooooo fresh! Pure roller-skating anthems.

Skream is no good because I want to play other people's tracks. I often have to hold back just playing an entire set of Skream. So he needs to stop being BIG and let some of the other producers get played.

The other bad thing is that Skream lives in London as opposed to Waterloo.

This guy sucks!

Love this thread. I'll post mine when I get home.

Bob Grommit, that setup is luxurious. Makes me want to build something similar, but more narrow.

You know what's even sicker that horns? Melodica! As in HYP006 : Find My Way. I also really like how Benga uses bells.

There's a track in my head that has horns. I heard it on an N-Type radio show recently. It uses the sample "FUCK!". Anyone know it?
