Starting a Dubstep night?

Post by TooMuch » Thu Jan 27, 2011 2:26 am

This is just out of pure interest.

Just how would you/do you go about it?

Theres many nights out there these days that provide dubstep. some local talent on the reg and then at the other end you have big nights in major clubs.

Obviously the big clubs can easy make a night with a guaranteed crowd and easy publicity..

Im more interested in someone who wanted to start a night that could attract attention in the long run. A night that starts as a one off, to a return due to popular demand all the way to a weekly/seasonal night which attracts well known names.

If you were to do it or better still, have done it.. How would/did you go about it.

First ideas?
Any defining moments?
Timescale?

Read a nice lenghty thread about this the other day, search google for something like "starting a dubstep night/club". It was a pretty old thread (I think) on this forum but good to read
