I didn't link directly to the file, i linked to the post on my blog, that might have been the issue.

No, that wasn't it. He came with a html-file to save as and not an mp3-file but yeah it works with the html-file.

i dunno then, i've tested it in IE and FF and both give me an mp3 file download. anyways enjoy!
