This ^^^^^^^ and J Da Flex sparked an interest, the bassweight is the main factor for me though. Breaks continued to go in a direction that didn't push my buttons anymore so it was a natural calling.

love the half time beats. they remind me of oldschool three six mafia beats ,which is what i was listening to years before i heard of dubstep. i also love the sparatic kicks and the snare on 1st and 3rd just never gets boring. and just all the trippy rhythmic sounds really. <3 dubstep

And the fact that it was a new British music genre that had all the musical influances in that i love.

For me it was hearing Babylon System - Everyday Hustle at a random DnB night at a dingy auckland niteclub... hooked
Also the chilled out attitude of most of the people involved in the scene

I was young and naive. Dubstep bought me a Bacardi Breezer and danced all night with me. Then Dubstep took me to its car, got me in the back and stuck its hand up my skirt. Before I knew it, Dubstep was making come hither motions up my cloonge and I was squirting all over the leather upholstery. Later, as we lay together on the hood, watching the constellations twinkle in that eternal blackness, Dubstep nibbled my ear and told me that it would always look after me, that I was 'special'.
Nowadays Dubstep won't even return my calls.

Had heard whispers here and there about Dubstep so I picked up Goth Trad's "Far East Assassin" 12" without bothering to listen to it first. When I got home and put it on I went fucking bananas.

what first got me into it was the psyhical way the music hits you, i felt it with drum n bass , but that was nothing compared to dubstep. pressure!
the way its so slow people frantically move between the beats because they dont know what else to do with their bodies.
what got me more and more into it is the way you can dance at two speeds to it, either 140 or 70 bpm, that and the fact that dubstep has many many other genres and sounds thrown into it. its more fun to dance to than any other genre!
i've been into metal, punk, techno and drum n bass, but dubstep hit me in a completely "out of this world "different kind of way.
plus i love the openess of the scene, there is less of the bullshit and eliteness you find in other styles of electronic music... and this forum is living proof of that....
