Suggestion Box..............

Post by plastician » Wed Jan 11, 2006 3:05 am

It looks as though I really will have to change my name. I'm setting a deadline for friday this week.

All suggestions are appreciated - not many people are feeling Man Plastic, obviously Plastiqman is out of the question, as are plastic, plastiq etc.

Too many artists in the world with those names already, i don't need this all over again!!

Thanks for your ideas in advance....

The nameless one

plastiq reminds me of sonique, who remembers her?

this news is kind of gay to be honest. i'm fond of your current name. have you got any names in mind yourself?

Hmm.
Blasticman?
Crassticman?
synthetic polymerization man?

Just starting a brainstorming session here.

Yah, this is BS really....strictly speaking, hawtin should just use one name and stick to it, instead of calling the monopoly on sporadically used aliases. But i guess when the lawyers come knocking, not much you can do.

I like your old name though. Couldn't you just go w/ "Plasticman UK"?....kinda like what John B had to do to distinguish himself from the american r&b singer. And now that the r&b singer JB is relatively obscure these days, he probably doesn't even use the "UK" part anymore.

not feeling "Man Plastic" so much....sounds kinda like a synonym for dried semen

(jokes!)

richie hawtin produces boring ambient drivel under the alias plastikman.

actually, it's pretty good, but i've got my loyalties.

Hey, look at the bright side at least you won't get that perpetual question in interviews anymore chris!

i'm well short of ideas, this was the best i could do sorry:

mastic plan
elasticman
drasticplan
polymurq

blah blah blah...

The artist formally known as Plasticman!

On a serious note .... I think the idea of being "reborn" is sick but you have accomplished vast amounts with the alias of Plasticman I hope it doesnt hamper potential future achievements.
