J'aime Le Dubstep no70 - Subvert Live from Shambhala '10

Well, as posted before, this week we have a MASSSSSIVE mix by the man who’s been causing a rumble throughout North America either with his crazy intense ground shaking, ear busting, black hole causing PK Sound systems or his gut-punching bass productions. The mighty SUBVERT delivers us one of the strongest mixes yet, no70, a live recording of his performance at this year’s SHAMBHALA Festival!

For all those in attendance at the festival, it might bring back flash backs of the event, so please sit down. To all others, crank up the music, crank up the bass and stick your face to the speaker cause nothing come close to the village experience (from what i’ve been told).

Big thanks to Subvert for releasing this mix through Wickedbad.net !!

Here’s some bio jibbah jabbah for those who aren’t in the know about SUBVERT.

Subvert – PK Sound / Muti Music / Shambhala Music Festival / Rottun Recordings

Subvert hails from Calgary, Alberta and his winding path in music started in 1996. Proof of his dedication to ‘Bass’ is in his track record of creating the world’s loudest competition vehicles, designing pK’s 100,000 watt sound system and managing the Village Stage at Shambhala Music Festival. He started DJing in 2000 and combined with his extensive work on sound systems and attention to
precision sound, he was ultimately & naturally led down the path to creating his own music productions and once again the low frequencies consumed him. Subvert’s sound is a combination of throbbing, relentless basslines, melodic strings and haunting pianos singing through midtempo glitch / acid crunk and dubstep. His attention to detail and the ability to tune into ‘bass that works’ can be felt in all of his music productions.

It’s all about the bass…..

Amazing mix. Dare I say.....better than Excisions 2010 Sham mix?

Searching high and low for "Excision - Die (opiuo rmx)". Love the Kriss-Kross samples used. If anyone knows if this tune even exists out there, please let me know.

Also Datsiks rmx of "Boombox" is dope as all heavenly fuck. Also, nowhere to be found though...
