@Rhek: The second part of the intro, after the drums, is like the perfect intro for a track like this. Overall, the track isn't bad. I like the bass. I like the fact that the song is continuous. It doesn't really stop until the very end. This is something I've been experimenting with myself. I think the one problem I have with this is the kick. It really feels like the kick could hold a little more weight. I think there's definitely room for that. Other than that, very nice work.

Thankyou Dude! Your prob right about the kick, went with quite a hard trance style kick with a tad too much low mid. I was worried the drop wouldnt satisfy..

Yeah I worked on the intro a fair bit glad it paid off :D. I never really seem to give my tracks time to breakdown and stop but I think this works for DJs :).

Will give your track a listen now..

@ JBE - Dont leave this track as finished yet! Drew me in instantly, loved the sounds. Definetly go over the whole tune adding some extra melodic synth lines/blip lines and maybe some percussion when the drums drop in the intro. I did really want the track to kick up into a 2-step groove which IMO would bring the whole track up a lot. Really nice mix too. Maybe try finding some accapellas n chuck in a few lines/words? Smoooth too without sounding cheesy.

Thanks for the suggestions Rhek. I went back through and added a few new things. I didn't actually do a 2-step really, but I decided to pick it up a bit and created a new drum track...sorta. More up-beat kick pattern, and some more quantized hats. Not a huge change overall, but I definitely think it's improved.

@We Bang: Solid track! Nice sample usage. good snare tone.

@Blanx: awesome groove. Great synth work! nice and crunchy. reminds me of MOD by Flux Pavillion-- in a good way

@Sprayyypaint: really cool bass tone. Distinct, very fun to listen to.

@JBE: Awesome vibes in your tunes. remeniscent of the guys from twisted records(ott, prometheus, etc) Really dig the chill sound. You've got a really distinct sound, keep it going!!

Here's a new one.

A darker Future Garage track with a bit of a classic Pet Shop Boys twist. This track is as if 2-Step Garage was dragged back to the 80's and given a spanking by its classic synth sounds. And just to top that vibe off, there's a vocoder.

New track I finished the other day, going in a new direction so thought I'd try and get some feedback on it.

Soundcloud

@Whyrez - Drums lack swing which really upset me cos I know you got it in you ;) love the bassline and various sounds that go with it and the chords are pretty cool and haunting. Overall it's a really nice track though if the drums were tweaked a bit it could be a much better one. Melodies are the biggest strength, really digging them.

@sovereignty - Bit of an odd mix of stuff this track. The midrange growl in the first section didn't really do it for me but I really liked the percussion in it and the general direction it was trying to go in I liked. I think if you brought the growl up a bit in the mix and had some of the chords from the breakdown appear earlier in the tune it would make it a bit more interesting. The second drop is filthy and actually quite original sounding. Think your composition needs the most work but you got a decent tune going here.

anyone else that gives me feedback I vow to return in kind.

New track, well it's been sitting on my harddrive for a while so I decided to finish it up and upload it.

Soundcloud

It's quite brosteppy, which im trying to move away from really, have a listen anyway!

@Whyrez - Wicked Garage track man, as paravrais has said, quick haunting chords. You'r melodies are great and the bassline is excellent! I agree about the drums though, could definitely do with some variation/shuffle.

@paravrais - Nice intro/build up, the drum variation is very nice on this. Quite strange melodies and I quite like the subtle melting noise you have going on in the background. Very atmospheric!

There's always a bit of swing in there man -q- Maybe I just chose less in this particular track because too much swing wasn't fitting the sort of 80's synth-pop vibe. Thanks for the feedback though man, I'll be sure to go do the same on your Soundcloud track for you now :)

Haha I must say I'm quite surprised about the feedback I'm getting about these drums! There's more variation to the drums in this track that my usual tracks! -r- Ah well lol, you win some you lose some!

Will give you some feedback on your Soundcloud now dude :D

@S0VEREIGNTY: I love the 'organic' yet chaotic sound / feel of this track, the bass isn't overpowering and loud at times, yet has great character and is distinct. Awesome track overall!

@paravrais: I melted into this song. I like the wide variety of sounds, and how well they mesh, and change.

@jstick: Metallic and heavy, I like it. I did however feel that the second part of the main sections lost a bit of steam that the first part built up. The synths work together perfectly, and the melody is original. Cool track.

As for my track,
I'm still learning everything and practicing every aspect of producing, this is my latest track. Let me know what you think, I tried to make it very original, my previous attempts I realized I was trying to mimic styles I like too hard.

@ AtraxDub. Nice synth on intro. Nice production man, clean as. I like the intro, i dont like that muddy as bass on the drop. Keep the tune chilled bro, the intro is fucking tops!

@ jstick. Diggin this intro aswell!! Sounds funky man nice. On the bar9 bass put some reverb boss, sounds way too plain. Nice work though!!

@ paravrais. Nice tune bro. Lots of really different sounds which is mint!! Laid back, got some mean depth to it! Change that paddy sound up a bit!

I've already posted this in here. But tried to tidy it up alot more, and gone to a new bass sound

@jstick- this isn't normally my thing but I can go for this got a real grimey feel to it
@bradicle- Sample is great but think the reese type bass could do with going down an octave or so.
@ Abs on the first page!, Loads of tunes to comment on in here but yours feels the most worthy: Absolutely fantastic tune big props!

As for myself, this is the second tune I have ever created and it took the best part of the afternoon to make. spent weeks before hand making random pads, hits, basses etc whilst reading as much about production as I could grasp.

Soundcloud seems to have made it sound a bit tinny but I have the original if anyone wants it. This was a nice tune to practice eqing with and think I am slowly getting to grips. Big ups DSF

@bradicle - was just waiting for this to drop after I pushed play, the intro is far too long without anything really interesting going on in it to keep you interested. The drop itself is pretty cool, like the direction you've taken the track in but it feels a little sloppy. Tighten the mix up a bit and sort out your intro/breakdown and you'd have a pretty decent track.

@Atraxdub - Like the chord progression you got going on here. Bassline reminds me of REALLY old rusko stuff too. I actually really like this track, if your new to producing then massive props cos this is really solid. Oop, just got to the drop at 1.30 and it totally ruins the song imo! your lack of technical skills really shows through in the post drop section and the lovely melodies from before get lost completely. My advise would be to revise this track and make it a deep roller the whole way through.

@jstick - Really decent attempt at this style which is VERY hard in my opinion. At least when I've tried to do it in the past I've struggled. Mixing the 'filth' from brostep with catchy melodies and keeping the whole thing feeling upbeat and dancey whilst also maintaining the grit is a very hard thing to balance and you've done it really well. Number of small faults like I didn't really like the kick much and there's very little going on with the hats but overall it's very promising.

@snypadub - sounds VERY basic. an afternoon isn't long enough to spend on making a tune really XD there's the rare occassion where it will happen and sound good but generally you wanna be spending a lot more time on your tracks.

@snellvillian - post some feedback you lazy prick

big ups you lot some nice work in here

@poyanp - like that track man. I personally feel like the main elements of the track are swallowed a little by the background sounds like the arp and gated vocals. I'd keep that shit more in the background next time to give the track a bit more thump.

@JBE - nice productions man sounds real good and feeling the vibe on that one

@terminalchillness - nice name :) you should probably make an effort to listen to other folks stuff and leave feedback. Anyways liking the swing vibe i reckon the lead that comes in during the track would work nice during the intro riser.

@sovereignty - the beat well the flanged kinda ride is dominating the track a bit at the beginning but i like what your doing there man just need to hear that bassline a bit louder cos it sounds nice. sick drop later on aswell the bass sounds a little muddy just watch those kinda basses could probably do with a little notch around 500hz but anyways sick little number.

@ Wirez - "dark future garage track with a bit of classic pet shop boys" LMAO!!!!! Yeah sick tune bro. I actually like the beat seems alot of people think it's not got enough permuations or some shit could probably do with some tasty fills at the end of the bar but that's about it sounds well produced aswell upskies.

@Paravrais - this is very different man. I like the beat alot and those swelling pad sorta sounds work real well with the groove. Not hear owt like this before nice one.

@Jstick - nice track man first thing that struck me when listening is it needs a good old ride cymbal doing 8ths just to drive the tune along a little but yeah sick track man.

@CHEWIE! Your new track is hot!
The vocals are so hot. :) Not usually a fan of the 3/4 wub but this is soooo artistic!
I love how the drums trip over each. Sooooooo good.

@Bradicle! Massive track, really enjoy it... I almost think that melody of yours would sound good as a Doctor P lead! :s
But yeah, enjoying the vibes. Can you do some Eq work on the vocals to make it a bit sharper and less of a mid-range lump? Also I think it's panning slightly to the right. But all in all, hot tune. :)

@AtraxDub! This is pretty sweet. :) I enjoy the bass, you could do a bit of distortion/crushing on it at random intervals, kinda like an incidental if you get me? :s Also, I love the reggae chord stab, is there anyway you could put some reverb on it or delay so that it washes around the background a bit more? Idk, maybe I'm waffling.

Anyway, good stuff all.. Would really appreciate some feeback on this:
And can you please please please leave feedback on Soundcloud? I never get that but it's so nice when I do. :>
Soundcloud

Thanks! :)
