*not looking for sob stories, just seeing if this is relative/normal? most have been due to drugs and shit.

I have one friend who went from not doing anything at 16 to smoking black tar heroin/meth at 17. shit is sad.

he isnt dead, but I know he's not gonna make it far past 21(he's currently 18 and still going strong on the hardcore shit).

it kills me because he was one of the few really smart kids I hung out with, but now his brain is just shot it seems.

Haven't had anyone who I've been friends with die. A few friends of friends who I was aware of, but no one I've had to attend a funeral for. Come to think of it, I've only ever attended one funeral and that was years back.

None of my friends have died, nobody I went to school with has died, and nobody in my family has died except the grandparents, and that was only in the last few years. And I’m 30. So… I’m guess I’m a bizzare case… :? But TBH I’ve always assumed I’d be the first to go of everyone I know, so whenever it is I die, I’ll start the cycle… :(

I'm the same, other than a distant cousin who I didn't really know, my grandparents died before I was born and I've had no one else snuff it yet, and I'll be 29 in a few months. Makes me kinda worried it'll all happen in quick succession.

I am a good decade and a bit older than you and dozerns of friends have either died in accidents, most worryingly is how many killed themselves. Three years back one of my mates' from school, took his head off with a 12 bore shot gun in a tent :-\

But more than that have gone onto get married and have kids (or just have kids!).

It's all part of life and living it.

no direct friends, just 3 people i knew from boarding school who killed themselves in the last couple years. all of them had drug psychosis (mostly shrooms).
inb4 this turns into a "drugs don't make you psychotic" thread, they had issues before and you simply don't take lots of shrooms alone when you have mental problems.

also, quite a few people going in and out of psychiatric ward regularly.

6 in the past four years = O

Well I have a few dead friends. Might as well honor their memory..

Max and Mike, these twin boys I knew, complete class clowns. Stepped in a puddle with a fallen electrical wire in it.

Andy- Asked my friend for a hug, she denied him, I said ''Oh Andy, I'll give you a hug''..he walked across the street, and got hit by a car.

Tuly- Car accident

Þórir - Diabetic who didn't take care of himself properly. He died in his sleep.

What's unfortunate about young deaths, is that it always seems to happen, to the best people =/

if it's to do with drugs, and you (one) hang around with hardcore caners, then yeah, that' s normal. i've lost a huge amount of friends to junk. some dead, some just waiting to die. well, becoming a junkie kills a very important part of you that never comes back i reckon.

then yep, there's been a couple of suicides, a car accident or two, one was watching my first 'girlfriend' (i was 11) die in a car accident, with her twin and her best friend.

death, however hard to deal with, is what makes life so precious. a commodity is worthless if it's unlimited imho. honour their deaths by living your life as much as you can and carrying their memories with you.
