@Astral - Awesome track bro, that bass is sweet
@FaithInTheGlitch - Really interesting sounds, that part with the piano or whatever coming in is fucking sick
@Hudson - that sig track is mean

Just something I'd like some feedback for, still very much a wip

@DLOGREZYRB: woah dude. really unique bass sound, and with those hi hats its off the hook! intro is lacking a little, maybe a high frequency synth with a melody would fill it out?
@Glue Reed: steel drums would be sick. love the the little rhythm with the perc, maybe a couple more drum sounds would make it pop too
@Kilo beats: holy shit that bass is blowing my mind. i would take the drums down a little in the intro and bring up that sick arp so the drop is more dramatic.

here is something I've been working on for the past couple of days, pulled some audio from a really hateful christian video on youtube. I can't tell if that's funny or offensive, but I kinda like it. the second bassline is something I worked up tonight and i'm still tweaking it. let me know what you think

@hoborg: Love it dude! Maybe try and make the kick a bit punchier, but other than that sounds awesome.

@ponte_ricky: Like the minimal vibes you got going. The bass sound is mixed perfectly. Nice one.

@sifty: Love the drums in that man. The main synthy sound you got going could maybe lie under the mix a bit better, and try to a get a bit of variation in there. Other than that sounds nice. Liking the melody.

Haven't spent much time on this one, but would love to see what people thought of it so far and give me any comments or ideas to make better.

@sinister87 - I like the melodies, maybe vary up the bell sounding synth, add some automated effects onto it to keep it progressing and interesting. I really like the flow into the drop, i think it should hit a little harder but the transition is nice. good job man, keep it up.

@hoborg - the percussion is real nice, i enjoy the progression in the intro. the sample is rofl. good job :D

@sifty - i really dig the feeling in the intro, maybe add more a little more reverb and delay to create more atmosphere. i reeeeally love the drop. it's very different to what you usually hear, great job on this.

this track is pretty much done, but i'd still love to hear some ideas on what i can do to it or change, just general feedback. :D thanks.

@sifty i really like the intro vibe :4: , melody is nice (maybe switch it up just a bit) the hi hat shuffle gives it a real nice feeling, maybe try adding sound effects and atmosphere to the intro. other then that i defo would kick backs and smoke a blunt to this tune :6:

@hoborg nice dude!!! definitly my taste :-) if it was me i would of made the drums a bit heavier or even speed up the tempo and make this one a drumstep tunee :corndance: ...ilike it a lot tho you just got yourself a follower on sound cloud :t:

@ASimpleMindUK
sounding nice man good job, maybe just boost the sub up a bit?

ok so heres mine, i know i need to boost the sub...any other feedback? :corntard:

This is a bit of a dubstep tune. Currently just a piece of the whole track.

@BassTest

any melodies? its certainly heavy as balls.

@Xephex

sick bass son. This one would kill a dance floor. I might have to spin this over the weekend.

@Danial The snare is fantastic. Love the rolling bass. All in all, sounds brilliant, also love the 8-bit arp sounds toward the end. Where'd you get the snare??

@xephex LOVELY subs. !!

@sifty Melody does it for me, maybe add in a breakdown ?

Could anyone give me some feedback on this? I' fairly new to it all, trying to chop up some aaliyah vocals:

thnaks for the feedback, everyone. any tips on making the drums heavier? they're already up pretty high and fighting the bass for room in the mix. I'll have a go at balancing everything out once I have it fully arranged

dananananimal- i like the laughing sample it fits pretty good. your drum works pretty on point, the sound at 30 though just feels a little outta place? its kinda like crazy step in this one. the synths are kinda high but i mean i do like the track. not bashing it or anything

the bass test- pretty generic to the sound coming out right now. so i mean not much to critique? kick has no punch. bass needs to be amped a little. i think you could go back and work with the samples you used to get your sound going alot better

xephex- intros tight. definatly got its own atitude going on. that drops heaaaaaavy. reminds me alot of chrispy lol but i like it. would definatly dig a 320 of this

sinister. your drum work could use some help. that kick mustve been absent that day. it just has no punch it sits so far back into the song. the drop is waaaaaaaaay muddy. everything clashes. keep working with it though you will figure out things as you go along trusssssst me

asimple- i really like the intro. bring up the percuss a tad? sounds like you mad the wobble in wasp. just doesn't tickle my fancy. reminds me of the tutorials i see on you tube.

hoborg- the sample. the tits. ahaha DAMN i love it. i think the synths are a little too distorted in parts. but it could be worked out this is the wip thread. but i would keep the fucking sample for sure. the change in melodys in the second part through me for a loop. hah not sure what to think of it but maybe it will grow in the next version. stick with it though

sifty- the intros nice. im a sucker for piano. i think it needs a little variation though? a killer track in the making for sure. just from the atmosphere you got going on.

@Asimpleminduk - I love the bassline in this but theres so much more you can do with it. Try resampling and adding distortion, flangers etc to give it a fatter sound. Nice work though :D

@sinister87 - Those chiptuney arps are killer, could use a little variation though, some cutoff modulation and whatnot. Keep it up :)

@Thebasstest - That bassline is sick! I'm gonna state the obvious her and say that the sub need to be brought up a little in the mix but not so much that you lose your headroom. Try sidechaining it off your kick if you find that you're sacrificing headroom in order to bring the sub up. All in all, some great ideas.

Mines a remix of the resident evil theme tune. I saw countless dubstep 'Remixes' where the producers had just taken the original track and layered some drums and t3h wobbliez onto it so i thought i'd try my hand at remaking it from scratch.

Thanks JTL. The snare is two snare samples layered on top of each other.

@Sifty : Sounds good, but when the sub is on, your kick seems... far, can't find the words actually. May be a light sidechaining would help.

@Danimal : Really like the 8bit style arp on the background. To me, you should try to make your snare a bit more punchy.

This is just an intro and a small drop I did. I used a piano sample ( i'd love to play as good ) and i tried to make it " Glitchy " ( don't know if i use this word correctly ). Does it sounds good ?

@Faithintheglitch
there's some good riffs in there but at times it seems like it's not holding together,I mean liek if it's not from the same song..but love some parts!
@budsteq
really like this,especially the warm sub good job
@Sifty
I like those synth sounds when it drops,but it could sit better in the mix
@asimpleminduk
Turn that sub up!!!
@Xephex
Not really my style,but SICK synth sounds good job
@oprs
Love it man!!sounds really good

Thing I've been working on this afternoon,Sub needs tweaking and I'm not sure about that second bass sound should I keep it and change the notes or should I keep this pattern and make a new sound?

@NRHc Really like how chilled the track is, the percussion is sweet and really sits in nice. I dig the style alot.
@Darj The glitch seems to work, not too much its easy to take overboard. Good drop and switch up.
@Basstest good wobbles, alittle hollow tho the sub should help that tho. As said before it needs some variation with melodies. Good work overall tho

Heres my little project right now. Im going to add more for transitioning and hopefully some good vocal samples to kind of tie it together.
Any type of feedback would be great never had any :6:

@NRHc: nice work dude! has a really Widdler vibe, I love the sub. but like you said, a little tweaking, I'd add a little bit more motion in the modulation. and honestly I would drop the second bass sound. expand on the vibe you've captured in the first half, it's dope
@sweetjames: I love where this is going but it sounds a little muddy, especially the bass. your modulations are great but theyre barely audible, sounds like it's all smashed too far against a filter? a mixing/effects overhaul might be in order
@Danimal: the volume envelope on that bass is magical. and I love the glitchy accents in the background. I don't really have suggestions for this one, you seem to know exactly what you're doing.

here is an update of a clip I posted last night - I added some stuff in the second bassline and kind of backed off on the limiter to make room for some heavy drumsteppy vibe drums. amazing what pot can do for late-night inspiration. still open to suggestions/feedback, cheers

Hoborg- some of your bass is sounding a little bit dry in the first section man, really picks up after that though really quite crisp well done, at times maybe a little bit hectic, kinda sounds like loads of different ideas rather than one song other wise good effort
sweetjames- the intro and main section feel disjointed, but you said you were adding more for transitions so thats maybe an area to focus on, your hats seem a bit dry as well mate.
NRHc- Nice vibe on the track, good groove in the drums, id maybe use your midrange bass element from the drop rather than after the sub rhythm, you need to either make the sub or the mid the prominent rhythm of the track.

Heres my latest effort, as yet unfinished:
